Cannibalism?

Black-furred ears flicked from where Shadestream crouched behind a rock. It wan't large enough to completely conceal her, but at least the white patch on her chest was hidden and the rest of her pelt simply melted into the darkness.
She had been listening to this rather interesting conversation for some time now. This idea those three cats were talking about was, she decided, the most sensible one she had ever heard of before. She'd love to participate, but first she had to announce her presence to the rest of them.

Shadestream padded out of her hiding place. She dipped her head to them and meowed, "Greetings. I happened to hear some of your conversation, and it is a splendid idea." She smiled slyly.
"I could help you all; I don't agree with the prospect of a Clan either." The word 'Clan' was spat out as if she hated the taste of it in her mouth.

[moddy]

Beetlepaw looked over at Frailheart. "Well, maybe we could have a spy. Like, someone who pretends that they want to be part of the mini-clan, but they're purpose is to really get in there and somehow tell the others what the weak points of the mini-clan are or something," she shrugged. "It really shouldn't be that hard, since the cats in the mini-clan probably have brains the size of a pebble." She snorted at her own humor.

She then glanced over at Grimykit. "Of course, that would work, too. It'd be fun." She nodded and then chuckled. "Hey, you're pretty good at coming up with things if you actually try." The tabby teased.

"Oh, thanks. It was all my idea," Beetlepaw said selfishly in response to Shadestream. "And that would be great if you would help us. The bigger, the better! I'm Beetlepaw," she mewed happily.

Orangestorm listened, amused, at Beetlepaw's plan and the other cats' reactions. Personally, he couldn't see cats like Grimykit and Beetlepaw holding together a plan for very long, but he decided that it wouldn't hurt to join and have some fun. "I'll participate," he said shortly.

[Gosh]

Frailheart nodded. "Both you and Grimykit's ideas are sound," she meowed to Beetlepaw. "But who should be our 'spy'? I would volunteer, but I'm afraid Woodstripe knows me too well - she knows I would never willingly take part in her mini-Clan."

[Ten]

"Pft, naw," Grimykit scoffed, chuckling. "She's tha type uv idiot ta think a con would jus' up an' decide ta be a Clanner one day. Wouldn't be hard ta make her think you'd had a lil' change o' heart."

[moddy]

"Great!" Beetlepaw mewed as Orangestorm agreed to go along with the plan, as well. "So, we now officially have five members. Which is good. As for the spy, though," she looked around at every cat who was there and back again, "it'll have to be someone who's sneaky and good at acting. Also, someone who is brave enough to go through with it."

"That's great, as well," she said in reply to Grimykit. "Although, we're gonna have to make sure that she doesn't try to spy on us. If you see a cat that's been hanging around with Woodstripe, I think that we're gonna have to watch them. Don't let them out of your sight unless necessary."

[Thistle]

The black she-cat answered, "Shadestream." Her tone was rather curt, as if she didn't like Beetlepaw's boasting about how the plan was made up by her. Privately, Shadestream wished that she could've thought it up instead.
But maybe she could offer to be the spy. Then again, as she pondered over the idea, if Shortwhisker was in this Woodstripe's mini-Clan, they'd know that she thought that a Clan was ridiculous and stupid. An annoyed hmph escaped her.

"There's this cat, Shortwhisker, who thinks a Clan is a great idea. I wouldn't be surprised if he joins the mini-Clan. We should watch for him."

[Ten]

Grimykit laughed at Shadestream's last remark. "Shortwhiska'z jus' a bumblin' cricket-brain. He ain't nothin' ta be scared of. It's them bosses that're tha biggest pain."

[Gosh]

Frailheart nodded. "Shortwhisker is annoying and stubborn, but he's a minion through and through. He's no leader. Grimykit's right - the bosses are the real problem. But, hopefully, we can turn their ambition against them - make it clear to everyone else that they just want power."

[moddy]

"I have to say that I honestly haven't met this 'Shortwhisker'." She shrugged. "But I'll keep on the look out for him."

"Do any of you know who one of these 'bosses' would be? From what I know, Clans really only have one boss and that's the leader. Which would be Woodstripe in this situation, no?" She asked. "Oh, wait. Sometimes there's a deputy, too, but I don't think this mini-clan would have one... Would it?"

She paused, considering, and then she looked around at all the cats once more. "Alright!" She mewed loudly enough for her to be heard by all of them. "We aren't getting anywhere in a place like this, with only us five. Any of you guys know of a place where lots of cats would be? ...or a way to attract a lot of cats?" She questioned.
