As Patchfur spoke, Orangestorm grew uneasy. He'd let his enthusiasm trip him up. The tom had said he'd liked the idea of a Clan before, just not the idea of a leader, and one slip of the wrong word had almost cost him another member.
Then again, Patchfur could just simply be a problem for the Rebellion, supporting the idea of a Clan. But the Rebellion was just for the Experiment, right? Right. Either way, getting insight into a Clanner's mind - however stupid it may be - would be useful in future for corruption purposes.
"Of course there is," he replied finally. "I'm glad to 'ear, nonetheless, that you're intres'ted in this - after this 'ere discussion," he twitched his tail back at the group around Woodstripe, "We could 'ave a small chat. I wouldn't want ter risk being over'eard by leader-supportin' cats."
And with that, Orangestorm proceeded to get back into the centre of things. He strolled casually back to the discussion.

Well, now Patchfur was thoroughly confused. He knew the tom didn't support a Clan- or at least, he suspected- so why was he cooperating with him? Most cons despised Clanners, but maybe Orangestorm was like Bronzefoot. Maybe he was just trying to trick him. Either way, he'd pay close attention to Orangestorm from now on, and not trust him too easily. But he still hated the idea of a leader as much as he himself did, and it seemed the two of them were the only participants- besides Bronzefoot- that thought this way. The three of them could surely come up with some kind of plan, right? Right now, however, Patchfur headed back to the large group of cats. He wanted to know when the actual voting would start.
