"Well, with that attitude, I'm pretty sure I know why she-cats don't want kits with you," Beetlepaw teased. "By the way, it really didn't seem that way when we were calling you a kit. That really got your tail in a twist and seemed like it mattered." She shrugged.

She looked over at Frailheart. "Yeah, I'mma 'con' or whatever. That means I don't want a clan, right? Or something?" She nodded, "It'd be a little funner if some clanner cat was here, you know? Maybe one'll show up or maybe we'll end up finding one. 'Dunno."

She was actually hinting at something; she'd seen pro-cats going around talking about how a clan would help and all, so why couldn't an anti-cat do the same? "Hey, hey," she called. "You ever see those clanner cats walking around talking about how good a clan is?"

"Really? Why?" he asked, mystified. "An' yeah, I has seen 'em, the blockheads. How can ya not? They's always all up in yer business we'er ya like it er not."

"If it isn't enough to 'ave them babbling about clans 'ere and there, I actually 'ave the misfortune to 'ave one as a sister," Orangestorm said, suddenly, a hint of annoyance in his voice. "It don't do me any good to 'ave 'er as a sister, though. Waste o' space."

The tabby snorted and looked over at Grimykit. "Shhh. I can't tell you why. It's a secret that only she-cats know. And there's only one way that you can learn that secret," she shrugged like it was no big deal. Then she glanced around at the other cats again.

"Well... since they can walk around talking about how good a clan can be, why can't we do the opposite? If you guys are up to it, that is." She nodded, "It'll be like... uh, what's the word? A 'rebellion'? I'm not sure, but you get what I'm saying, right?"

Beetlepaw looked pleased with herself. "We could tell cats how bad a clan is and that'll make the chances for a clan happening less. That will definitely put their tail in a twist. Besides, if we can convince other cats, then our 'anti' side's number will surely increase." She pointed out.

Frailheart looked from Grimykit to Beetlepaw and back again amusedly. Then, she sighed, and meowed, "That sounds nice. But most cats do not change sides. It would not be easy to convert most Clanners into cons. The most we could do is show that we are not submissive to them Clanners, and I admit, that does show that we are not afraid. But the only cats you are going to convince that we are right are kits. The rest - " She sighed, shaking her head. "Too stubborn. Too obsessed with taking control, in some cases."

Sighing again, she added, "Have any of you heard of that experiment Woodstripe's setting up? A mini - Clan, almost." Suddenly, a smile began to spread across her face. She had an idea.

But first, she would wait to see what any of the others had to say about the experiment.

"Fine, I dun care," Grimykit spat at Beetlepaw, regarding the she-cat secret. "An'... well, that could be okay. A lotta Clanners is just idiots, though, and wouldn't get it. But it could be kinda fun, ya know?"

At the sound of Woodstripe's name, Grimykit made a face. "That boss of a broad's makin' a Clan now? Shoulda seen tha' comin'. All Clanners are bad, but she's tha wurst uv 'em."

"How do I know you're not lying?" Beetlepaw mewed, shrugging. "How do I know that you really do care, but you're just saying that?" She pressed.

"You said most cats. Besides, that's not necessarily true. Some cats can change their mind. And what about kits?" She asked. "Even if they're only kits, they would grow up and guess who's side they'll be on? Ours! Plus, like Grimykit said, it could be fun. If we don't try to prevent a clan, who will?"

She frowned then. "I've spoken to Woodstripe about a clan and she's made pretty good points. Although, I can't say I agree with them. And if she's making a mini-clan now... Well, the odds of no clan is becoming fewer. So, I, for one," she nodded, "am going to go with my plan. Either you're in or you're out. I couldn't care less."

"I'z in," Grimykit declared, before anyone else had time to open their mouths. "If it means makin' some minions mad, sounds good ta me. 'Sides, we can't jus' let them start tryin' ta make a Clan under our noses."

Frailheart nodded. "I think we should try to thwart this mini-Clan, or else we'll have a real one to contend with. Going out and enlightening others about why us cons are right will be part of that. But there's gotta be a way to mess up the mini-Clan. Does anyone have any ideas?"

"'Sides goin' in there and rippin' 'em to shreds?" Grimykit thought for a moment - a rare occurrence. "Well, dun think it'd be too hard ta make 'em think there wuz somethin' wrong with the leader, ya know? Make 'em think the leader's jus' gonna make 'em try ta tear down tha walls er somethin'."
