Dingypaw added, "I also think you would make a great leader, Redstream. You have my support as well." The elder was grinning in satisfaction; she hadn't been sure that Redstream would accept the nomination. Being a leader was a huge responsibility that most cats weren't able to handle. She thought she could do it, but didn't know whether Redstream herself would think herself capable of such an important task. Luckily, the she-cat did think herself capable. Hopefully she would be voted as leader.

ooc "She thought she could do it, but didn't know whether Redstream herself would think herself capable of such an important task. Luckily, the she-cat did think herself capable. "Never." -- -horrified gasp- And why have you not? >8U
Oh, this question suddenly came to me. o.o Ten, do you stay up late on the computer? Just wondering, 'cause you actually don't seem like the kind of person who would.
bic Redstream looked appreciatively at Dingypaw. Yet another supporter! This was surprising. "Thank you, Dingypaw. I'm ... immensely flattered," she mewed gratefully, feeling very conscious about how she was sitting and speaking.
Orangestorm glared at his sister in disgust. Redstream ... leading a clan? Fleeting memories of his mother raced through his head.
The mini-clan has no chance. He smirked inwardly.

---x---
Ooc: Yes, Redstream. But I didn't want to say Redstream all the time, so the pronouns got confusing. Sorry! ^_^'

Batkit opened his maw to speak, but paused before he inhaled enough air to form a sentence. Redstream already had two followers, and if he nominated Spiderpaw, the odds were still two to one. Should he vote for her instead? But still... a doubtful look clouded his eyes.
Suddenly his mind made a quick decision. "I choose Spiderpaw to be leader!" His wording wasn't all that great, but it probably still got the point across.

Patchfur looked at Batkit with disbelief. "Spiderpaw?" he mewed under his breath. He hoped she didn't get elected leader. If she did, he'd probably be guarded by warriors every time he started to get angry. And he'd probably also get demoted to Clan Prisoner.

bic: Batkit's ears caught Patchfur's incredulous mew, and the little tom looked a bit put-out. "So what?" he meowed defensively. "Spiderpaw will make a good leader."

"That's what you think. She'd just boss everyone around and make two or three cats guard me at all times, since I'm so dangerous and obviously can't control myself," Patchfur meowed sarcastically. /Besides, if she thought I was going to hurt Batkit when I had just spent all that time and effort protecting him, she's not smart enough to be leader/ he thought. He really hoped Spiderpaw didn't win. Redstream seemed like a much better choice, though he still preferred Bronzefoot.

Batkit frowned. Was Spiderpaw really not a good choice? He didn't think so, but Patchfur obviously did. "She won't do that! And she's not bossy and you're not dangerous, either."
He paused. "Besides, I already nominated her, so she's one of the nominated cats, right?" He turned to Woodstripe, head tilted questioningly.

Fadedpelt (PHINALLY) padded closer to the group, listening silently to the new ideas and the nominations for leader. It was her chance to shine now. She could prove to someone that she would be the best leader, and then...
"Shortwhisker," she meowed quietly, coming up beside the stammering tom. Her eyes sparkled with ambition - it was time to do what she did best. "Who do you want to be leader?"
She knew that Shortwhisker was a cat that she could manipulate, convince into being one of her followers and supporters. He wasn't terribly strong-willed and he seemed the type of cat who wanted a leader figure, some kind of guidance. Fadedpelt could be that guidance.

Woodstripe nodded in response to Batkit. "Yes, Spiderpaw and Bronzefoot are both nominated and must either accept or decline. Redstream has accepted her nomination, so she is our first candidate."
Shortwhisker jumped and spun around. "Wh-hat do y-you w-want?" he stammered, heart pounding. "I... I m-mean, um, I d-don't k-know... I don't w-want Wood-dstripe." He paused to glare at said she-cat.
Woodstripe ignored him and began to wash a paw.
"...a-and, um, I th-think Redst-stream might b-be good, m-maybe. A leader sh-should be st-strong and k-know what to d-do. It's h-hard to find a c-cat like th-that."
