@ten: I did laugh at Bat-tail. xD I laughed at how his name had to be hyphenated or else it would look weird. Mudface sounds like a hilarious name. x3 Although, I wonder what 'face' would represent as a suffix. It is true that you don't have to have read the series to be good at roleplaying it, but a lot of people don't think so. -has been shunned from Warriors boards after mentioning she hadn't read the books- >: @cloud: Whee! Terry Pratchett is a fantastic choice. His books, full of hysterical satire as they are, still make you think. c: -highfives-

I also like Johnathon Stroud as an author.

Mudface sounds like a hilarious name. x3 Although, I wonder what 'face' would represent as a suffix. He liked to rub his face in the mud. ...Yeah, not the most honorable name, I know. I don't role play him anymore. It is true that you don't have to have read the series to be good at roleplaying it, but a lot of people don't think so. -has been shunned from Warriors boards after mentioning she hadn't read the books- >: Ya lahwy, that's horrible. You know, I might take a look at this Terry Pratchett fellow.

I think you'd like him, Ten. I've only read a few of his books, I'm no expert. May's a huge fan of him, I think she owns all of the Discworld series or nearly all of it.
On a side note: Reading the books is ok, but it's just stupid to shun someone just because they haven't. Geez. All they need to do is explain it, it's not that complicated.

Hm, I've heard a lot of people praise Terry Pratchett. I think I'll have to buy some books by him.
I think that people, when making warrior names, don't think about anything except the present and how it described the cat now. For example, a name like Whisperingbreeze might describe a shy, frail cat with a quiet voice, however they probably weren't that way as a newborn kit. When I see bad names I say, (insert stupid prefix here)Kit? They act like no one's ever asked them that question before. Sometimes when I explain it to them they'll say something like, "Oh, that makes sense." Or they'll be touchy and get mad.

Mmph. Threaten to unleash Ten on them if they don't change their ways. Just kidding, just kidding. I know everyone has a right to like what they want, but....blargh. I guess I don't really have anything to protest WHY they shouldn't have those types of utterly stupid, often sueish names. It's when they declare them as legitimate warrior names starts to worry me. I don't care if they admit it's fantasy or a bit unrealisitic when it's meant to be that way on the site, but when they say their names are fine and we should shut up and we don't understand "creativity" gets on my nerves. Especially when it's ones like Diamondshine or something. And yes, I have seen that name. e-e

I think some deviation is okay. As long as the name makes sense, odd suffixes are okay with me. For example, a person I know has a Foxbite, who is a ginger tom with a strong bite. It makes sense, so I don't complain. There are other examples, but that one comes to mind right now.

Foxbite looks like frostbite.

Yeah, that's what I always thought. But both her and her sister were extremely touchy, so I usually never said anything.

You don't like provoking touchy people?
