Role player| Nikki
_____
Name| Goldenstream
Gender| she-cat
Physical Description| Goldenstream is a lean, red ticked tabby. However, her fur is more golden. She has yellow-brownish eyes, white whiskers, and a tail with darker rings. She has a large white mark starting at the top of where her two eyes meet. It extends down her chest, belly, and splashes her legs and paws.
Views| Goldenstream doesn't like the idea of a clan. She is perfectly happy with the situation that she has lived with most of her whole life; hunting on her own, fighting for survival.
Goldenstream has many reasons why she is against a clan. No one has the right to boss her around or tell her what to do. She ought to do what she likes, when she likes. She doesn't want to care for others if they don't do anything for her. And what if a leader should abuse the power of being leader? She thinks that the responsibility is too much for one cat. And also, why should she trust leaders? After all, the leader and deputy did lock their beloved clan inside a pyramid-like formation... Couldn't another leader and/or deputy do something even worse?
Kin| Mother; Yellowfur [Deceased] || Father; Unknown || Sister; Lightstorm [Deceased]
History| Goldenstream was the firstborn of her litter, with only one other sibling. Her mother named her after her golden fur and her sister after her paler yellow fur.
Goldenstream never did meet her father; her only memories were about a dark cat; whether it was just a dream or real life, she was never sure.
She and her sister were taught to hunt and fight by their mother. Yellowfur often paid more attention to Lightstorm because of her strength, and higher likelihood to thrive in the edifice. Yellowfur didn't seem to notice Goldenstream's success as much as Lightstorm's. Goldenstream wanted her mother's attention on her, not Lightstorm.
So Goldenstream worked harder. This proved useless, as her mother still praised Lightstorm more, while she received a rare 'good'. She was impatient that her mother wouldn't notice her as much as her sister because of Lightstorm's progress.
Her mother scarcely noticed Goldenstream's hard work, and Goldenstream lived with it in silence. She let out her anger during training to fight. But she usually lost, and her mother's praise would heighten for Lightstorm. In result, this made Goldenstream's anger rise even more so, even though she had no one to blame but herself.
After a while of training, Yellowfur named Goldenstream for her gracefulness. She was relieved to become a warrior. She quickly left her family as soon as she could.
Her mother and sister died shortly after she left, while hunting a couple of rats. The rats had given them many fatal, infectious bites.
A while later, Goldenstream was getting comfortable living on her own. Most cats she had met were very territorial and hostile. Then she met a strong warrior named Whitetail. She was pleasant enough and asked Goldenstream if she would hunt with her. Goldenstream was wary at first, wondering why she should hunt with this cat. Whitetail insisted that they would gather prey faster and easier if they worked together. But Goldenstream wondered why an older, experienced warrior would want to hut with her. Weren't there better hunters that Whitetail would prefer over herself?
Begrudgingly and cautiously, Goldenstream agreed that it would seem to be a smart idea. They commenced hunting together, and Goldenstream started to enjoy Whitetail's company. The two cats started to hunt with each other every day. However, Goldenstream hardly noticed that as she became friendlier with Whitetail, Whitetail would progressively do less work while hunting.
Eventually, though, Goldenstream began to notice that she was doing most of the work, while Whitetail didn't even lift a claw. Whitetail smoothly said that she hadn't been feeling well lately and would make it up later on. Goldenstream accepted this, because she trusted Whitetail.
But the next day when Goldenstream woke up, Whitetail wasn't there. Goldenstream searched for Whitetail, and after awhile, found her. But Whitetail treated her with hostility and indifference, and was spitting at her to get off of her territory. Goldenstream knew she wouldn't win this battle, as she was getting thin from hunger. So she reluctantly went away, filled with pure hatred. And thats when she remembered one of her mother's teachings back when she was being trained: Be careful who you trust.
This experience saddened but also toughened Goldenstream. She truly had believed that Whitetail was a friend. But she just had taken prey without doing hardly anything. In result, Goldenstream is wary around other cats and isn't quick to trust. She also doesn't let her emotions show, in fear that someone will find vulnerability and once again take advantage of her.
