Shadestream lowered herself into a crouch, as if she was preparing to spring on the tabby tom. A long, drawn-out hiss was emitted into the dusty air as the she-cat stared at Grimykit. A challenge masked the glee in her yellow-green eyes. Their fake-fight was going well. He was going to attack soon; if he didn't, she would have to. The more drama, the better.

Orangestorm looked around, in search of any cats who might look to be pro-clan. The fake fight was having no problems so far, but it had yet to attract the attention of the one cat they needed - Woodstripe.
Where was that darned tabby when you actually wanted her to be around!? Orangestorm thought angrily.

"I have to admit, though, that it is quite entertaining to watch, if you ask me," she nodded. She was being honest, actually. Who doesn't like watching their plans succeed? She'd have to get into the whole anti-clan thing later. She didn't want to seem too obvious, did she?
The only problem was that Woodstripe and her group of kitties had yet to show up. Really, why couldn't they get with it? When someone needed you to show up, you were supposed to show up. Not that they could just magically know that the fight was going on, but... still.
Sure enough, though, another cat did show up. Maybe he wasn't the one that they wanted, but he was still a cat. As a matter of fact, he was a pro cat.
The smudged tom let out a hiss of annoyance. Why did every cat have to pick a fight? He didn't understand. As soon as he saw the she-cat in the fight, he considered jumping into help. But, he thought better of it, since he had just lost a fight of his own.
Instead, he sat down somewhere near where the small group of cats was gathered. He didn't want to go over there, no, because a certain tom happened to be over there, as well. He'd just listen to their conversation or something until he decided that it was okay for him to speak to them, too.

Orangestorm noted the scent of the new tom and cast a glance at him - he tried to recall if he had seen him hanging around with Woodstripe and her little clanners, but nothing came up. Thus, this cat's views were a complete mystery to Orangestorm. The orange tom decided to solve that mystery, seeing as he was feeling a little bored - anyhow, if that tom was a clanner he might have a notion of where Woodstripe was.
Orangestorm rarely showed an interest in anything related to clans and suddenly found himself wondering why he seemed so determined to see this plot through. He had never, in all his life, ever decided to get up an approach a complete stranger with a motive before, and realised that now. He also realised that he was almost right in front of the tom.
Orangestorm sat down and said, "Er -- Hallo. Enjoying that little show over there?"

Smudgeheart stumbled back when the other cat came near. He wasn't a she-cat! No, he was a tom cat. And, as a matter of fact, this tom cat needed to go away.
"What do you want?" He hissed, not bothering to answer his first question. He didn't want to speak to this tom. There was no point, in his opinion. Toms were stupid. Well, not him, but other toms were stupid.

"Well now, there's no reason to get your tail in a twist," Orangestorm replied, his tone smarting. "I simply wanted a brief chat.
His keenness on this task was quickly evaporating. Orangestorm felt his own nature pulling at him to walk away and ignore this tom, but a newly lighted fire in him was rooting him to this spot. This tom was quite bulky and his size rivaled Orangestorm's own. The tom seemed fierce, too. A desire to be rude and gruff leapt up in him, but he told himself that it would be unwise to provoke a cat of this size, and that he ought to appear to have some manners, in case it turned him against Woodstripe's favour. The cat could turn up at any time. But wait ... Woodstripe's favour? A pang of disgust hit him as he repeated that last sentence to himself. Oh, what he was sacrificing for this little plan. Then again, all of it was of his own will.
Speckledclaw, from her position, noted the heavy atmosphere behind her and resisted the urge to turn around. It's not my business, said the common sense within her automatically, and she faced the fight again. Then she turned her head again. In the distance she could see three cats in particular, a red one, a smallish one and another that seemed to having trouble walking.
Speckledclaw rose from her seat, murmuring, "Looks like they need help ..." and padded towards the three cats.
ooc;; Numerous mistakes in this post, but I'm brain-dead at the mo. D: The cats in 'Trial and Error' have noticed the fight, by the way, but they don't know that it's a fight. They just see it as a huge commotion. I'mma try to rope the cats in so that we can get the rebellion in action.

Woodstripe approached the crowd, paying more attention to Patchfur than to the cats around her. "I would not have become angry," she chuckled, counteracting his hypothetical statement. "Mind you, I am keeping my mind open to all the possible candidates. Each cat has strengths and weaknesses that I must take into consideration. Yes, Bronzefoot will be participating, unless he has revoked his decision without notifying me. He is... suitable," she agreed, though her hesitance betrayed her mistrust. She knew Bronzefoot didn't want a Clan and she feared he might try to limit the experiment's success.
Grimykit yowled and raised his paw, claws unsheathed. In a quick movement he batted at Shadestream's face, sheathing his claws at the exact moment of impact so that no harm would come to her. However, any average spectator would not have noticed this.
Frozenheart was not your average spectator. He narrowed his blue eyes, while at the same moment his sister looked up and realized what had drawn the crowd.

"I'mma try to rope the cats in so that we can get the rebellion in action." -- Excellent. Thank you, Darky.

Patchfur looked confused. "What is going on here? And don't lie to me! I know you don't want Bronzefoot to be leader because he doesn't want a Clan!" Her words angered him and his eyes narrowed. He would've preferred her to openly admit her feelings rather than lie about them. And there was a fight going on. As Grimykit slashed at a cat he didn't know, he leaped behind Woodstripe, fur bristling. "What's going on here? Are you trying to kill me so you can be leader?" he screeched, fear and surprise affecting his mind.

Woodstripe widened her green eyes at his volatility. "Calm yourself, Patchfur. Listen; it is true that he would not be my first choice, but if he is elected, then so be it. I could imagine him being a more than decent leader," she mewed with soft-spoken sincerity, not adding, ...if he wanted to be. "As for what this fight is about, I do not know. Now put those silly ideas out of your mind. I'm neither a liar nor a murderer." With that said, she addressed Orangestorm. "Do you know what was the cause of this?"

Frailheart forced herself to keep her eyes on the battle, but she listened to Woodstripe and Patchfur interestedly. Obviously Patchfur was an agitated cat; he and Woodstripe seemed to be talking about...Bronzefoot? Where did that con come into this. Frailheart narrowed her eyes. This was suspicious.
She opened her mouth to reply to Woodstripe, but then she glanced back and realized the Clanner was addressing Orangestorm. She kept her ears perked, but she turned back to the false battle.
