"He should leave," Rockpelt mewed. He wasn't actually very worried about what would happen. Now that he's confessed to being a con, no cat will vote for him, he thought.

Bronzefoot wanted to speak up, to shout, 'Orangestorm was the one who nominated the dirtface, not me!' But if Rockpelt hadn't thought of trying to kick out Orangestorm too, Bronzefoot decided that he should be quiet. If Orangestorm was trying to make trouble here too, it wouldn't do for both of them to be kicked out. So instead, he meowed calmly, "I wasn't under the impression that I could be kicked out just for being a con." He knew that there was no chance he would be voted leader now, but he hadn't been expecting that anyways. Right now his goal was to stay in the Experiment, and if he succeeded with that, he would try to lie low for a little while.

"Why?" meowed Patchfur in confusion. "He wasn't the one who nominated Dullpaw. I can understand if you want Orangestorm to leave, but Bronzefoot? Just because he's a Con doesn't mean he isn't a good cat. He might just have different opinions. Not all Cons are bad, and not all Clanners are good. Just look at Dullpaw!"

"What if he's secretly trying to ruin the experiment?" Rockpelt growled. "I vote that he leaves. What about you?" He surveyed the other cats with his gaze.

Patchfur didn't think Bronzefoot would do such a thing. After his talk with Orangestorm, he was a little suspicious of the orange tom, but Bronzefoot had given him no cause for worry. "And why do you think that? Because he's a Con? Just because he doesn't want to live in a Clan doesn't mean he's evil. He might have perfectly logical reasons."

Rockpelt looked at Patchfur, wondering why he was so supportive of Bronzefoot. "If he wants to watch us like he says he does, then there is no problem. But a con running for leader? There is no reason for that unless he means trouble."

Bronzefoot silently cursed himself - of course that would be a logical course of thought. But he still had a chance to stay in, maybe. He replied evenly, "I want to experience a wide variety of the aspects of a Clan-but mind you, I had not even thought of the idea until I was nominated for leader." He shrugged. "It doesn't matter now, does it? After all, there's no way I could be leader. Look at my competition." He gave Spiderpaw and Redstream a smile and laughed.

"I was the one who nominated him for leader," Patchfur reminded Rockpelt. "He did choose to accept the nomination, but truthfully, many more cats are going to vote for Redstream or Spiderpaw," he replied, leaving out Dullpaw's name, as he was sure no one would vote for the obnoxious tom. "And why does a con running for leader make you think he means trouble?"

"Rockpelt, it appears you are outvoted," Woodstripe remarked. "Now, do any of our nominees have anything they would like to share before - ?"
Shorwhisker interrupted her with a loud yowl as he ran towards the group. "HEYYY! Y-you c-c-can't to v-vote with-thout m-m-me!"
The tabby closed her eyes and sighed. "Yes, Shortwhisker. We cannot vote without you."

ooc Arrgrhhhh. I keep confusing 'cons' with 'cynics'.
"I burst out laughing. Darky, milady, you are so getting a point." --- YAY. -dances-
"um... aren't they?" --- Yeah, they are.
bic "Bronzefoot should stay. It's not reasonable for a cat to be pushed out of the Experiment simply for being a con. Classifying all cons under the category of trouble-makers isn't fair - if this were the way a real Clan were run there would be none. I do not agree with kicking cons out just for the sake of being cons," Redstream mewed rather coldly, feeling rather late.
Orangestorm was feeling a weird mix of tension and triumph. "I think Bronzefoot should stay, for all the reasons put forward regardin' this topic. Further more, I have already stated my reasons for nominating Dullpaw - I doubt 'e's going to get any votes at all, so I'm not sure why yer all so worked up on this. 'Is ego ain't going to get any bigger once 'e finds out that 'e's not going to become leader.
"And also, did it ever occur to you that cons might 'ave their own, per'aps better idea for being Leaders?" Orangestorm asked.
"Are we voting already?" questioned Speckledclaw. She wanted to see the other cats' opinions before she voted. Frankly, she was leaning towards Redstream and Spiderpaw. Bronzefoot seemed too shifty to her, and Dullpaw was just out of the question.
