OOC>> "Rockpelt would probably say, 'Why would he ask for privacy unless he was up to no good?'" --- Yeah, probably.

Rockpelt looked at the cats campaigning. Who should I vote for? he wondered. Bronzefoot and Dullpaw were automatically out. "I vote for Spiderpaw," he meowed.

Spiderpaw cleared her throat and meowed, "I vote for Redstream." After all, Redstream had voted for her, so it didn't really matter. Bronzefoot looked around for a moment, then shrugged and stated, "I vote for Spiderpaw." He wondered idly if anyone would think this odd. 'No,' he thought. 'Spiderpaw is a perfectly acceptable candidate. No one will think much of it. Right?'

Patchfur narrowed his eyes. Spiderpaw had won. He expected her to be much more controlling than Redstream. Why, he didn't exactly know. Probably because she reminded him of Woodstripe. It didn't really matter, though. She wasn't forcing him to do anything, not now, not ever. If Shortwhisker and Dullpaw joined up and formed the Cricketbrained Duo like he expected, he'd hate every minute of the ten days. But he had to have some evidence for why leaders were a bad idea. Unfortunately, it looked like he had to stick with it.

"Counting my own, Spiderpaw has won with six votes, double that of Redstream," Woodstripe announced.
Whiskers twitching, Shortwhisker sat with a blank stare, shattered by the defeat.
"Now to me this seems a large gap, but I understand some of you are still supportive of Redstream. Despite her loss, should she become deputy, or shall we hold another election?"
The tom leaped to his paws. "R-Redstream d-deserves to b-be deputy! You j-just want us t-to vote ag-gain so you c-can get yourself in p-power!"
Knowing that few cats present took Shortwhisker seriously, Woodstripe replied, "That's one for Redstream becoming deputy. Any others?"

"We should vote," Rockpelt argued. "Some cats here want to be deputy, but not leader. And you said that we would vote for deputy after voting for leader."

Patchfur nodded, agreeing with Rockpelt. "Redstripe may not /want/ to be deputy. I think we should hold another vote to see if anyone else would like the position that was more qualified than her." He didn't think anyone was more qualified than Redstream, but he wanted the election to be fair despite the fact that they were voting over who would control the other cats' lives.

Bronzefoot thought for a minute. 'If we re-open voting for deputy,' he thought, 'Woodstripe might get to be deputy. And that couldn't be good. However, allowing Redstream to get in free doesn't sound good either. But since it's probably the least conspicuous thing to do..' Letting his thought trail off, he meowed, "I agree with Patchfur."
Spiderpaw blinked a couple times. She had won. She had actually won the election for leader in the Experiment...and Woodstripe had voted for her, too. She was really a little shocked by this, but, realizing that the topic of discussion was now on whether or not Redstream should automatically get to be deputy or not, she cleared her throat. "Um, well, I think that if anyone else other than Redstream were to want the position of deputy, we should re-elect," she meowed, hoping that this would appeal to everyone.

ooc "Redstripe" --- Wuzzahooey? o.o
bic Redstream let out a small sigh. She had hoped she would win. She certainly seemed to have enough supporters at the time. Still, losing the election for leader gave her a sensation of a weight being lifted off her shoulders. Redstream smiled at Spiderpaw, certain that she would be a good leader for the experimental Clan. She turned her head as they began discussing the topic of deputy elections. "I think that we should probably have another election for deputy. The previous election only motivated certain cats with certain interests to share their views on how a Clan should be led, which leaves other voices unheard," she stated. She thought about becoming deputy. It wouldn't be too bad, she supposed. But she already had a head-start in this election. She decided that she ought to elect someone for this election. Well, she would, once it was officially announced.
Speckledclaw sat up straighter, her ears perked. Though she wasn't interested in the position of utmost power, she was interested in providing a strong supporting role for the entire Clan; which would be the place of deputy. However, she still felt unsure about her violent side, which some cats had seen in the process of the discussion about the Experiment, and guessed that she wouldn't have much of a chance to become deputy. Still, she would try. "I agree that we ought to 'ave another election for deputy," she said, taking care not to snap.
Orangestorm raised his eyebrows. So, Spiderpaw had won. She would be leader. He tucked this information into the back of his mind. He spared a glance at his sister, who looked more or less okay. As for the question about another election, Orangestorm decided to go with the flow and said, "Another election would be ideal."

Ooc: Aah, brain fart DX Fixed.
Bic: Patchfur looked around, trying to decide who he should vote for to be deputy. Redstream was a good choice, but Speckledclaw seemed intelligent, although she had a quick temper. He did too, but he wasn't interested in a position of power. Orangestorm probably didn't want to be deputy. "Bronzefoot, do you want to be deputy?" he asked, hoping that the tom could still have some influence in the Clan.

Bronzefoot turned to Patchfur. 'I don't want to raise suspicion again,' he thought to himself. He didn't want to disappoint Patchfur, who was pretty much his only supporter.. but hey, no one was gonna vote for him anyway. So he meowed, "Unless everyone suddenly decides that they want me as deputy, which I very much doubt, I am not interested in becoming deputy at this time."
