"I'm Copperclaw," he mewed proudly as he leaped down from the rock "Count me in on that rat hunt, I've been eatin' crickets for days," he finished dramatically.

Batkit padded toward a group of cats, head cocked with curiosity. They seemed quite friendly with each other and there was no sign of hostilely. Perhaps he would be able to find some cats that would like to participate in the clan experiment. The more the merrier, and besides, Woodstripe would be pleased.
The young tabby trotted over, picking up snatchs of the conversation. The sand-colored she-cat seemed the most docile of them all, so Batkit lifted a small paw and hesitantly tapped her hind leg. "H-H-Hi."

Sandfur spun around, surprised. Her expression softened when she saw a kit standing behind her. "Hello, little one! What is your name?" she mewed sweetly.
OOC>> The link to your notebook doesn't work, Thistle. Batkit is a kit, right? If not, tell me and I'll correct this post.
edit: It does now.

Speckledclaw looked over this small group of cats, noting that there was a possible rat hunt in future. She decided to go over and introduce herself, meanwhile.
"Hello, I'm Speckledclaw. I 'ear you want a rat hunt?" she said briskly, in her naturally snappish tone. "Let's not wait too long - there's a good bunch o' rats near there. Bound to be a 'couple wanderers."

OOC>> I was starting to think you decided not to come.
BIC>> Sandfur looked up, surprised at the large number of cats that were rapidly gathering. "I'm Sandfur," she mewed, "and we'll start hunting soon." She turned her attention back to Batkit and waited to hear his response.

ooc: He's about nine moon cycles old, but it's all right to call him a kit because he's rather small and still acts like one. :3
bic: Batkit grinned, glad that he had not been chased off or been scowled at. "I'm uh, Batkit, missus," he mewed politely, glancing up in surprise to see another she-cat approach. There was going to be a rat hunt? Right now? That would be nice, and it had been a long time since the young tom had tasted fresh rat. He may not have much experience, but he could surely learn, and with these many cats helping he probably wouldn't get injured either.
"C-Can I hunt with you too?"

Sandfur glanced at all the cats around her. Three is enough, she thought, but we can always use more cats. "Do you know how?" she asked, ready to teach him if necessary.
OOC>> More irony. The ad at the top says "Kill Roof Rats."

Copperclaw looked around at all the gathering cats and flicked his tail impatiently. He had not done anything remotely interesting for days and he couldn't wait for them to get going. "So, are we gonna wait for more cats, or are we leaving sometime soon?" he meowed in a hurried tone.

Sandfur looked up again. If they didn't start hunting soon someone might leave. "Lets go," she mewed, and then to Batkit, "Stay close to me. I'll help you." She began to walk in the direction Speckledclaw had indicated.

Copperclaw silently followed the rest of the cats, ears pricked for any scuffling sounds in the distance. He hoped that the rats wouldn't hear the large group of cats until they attacked. More cats would make it easier to take down a rat, but it also made it a lot harder to be stealthy, especially with the lack of cover.
