Role player| Cheerio _____
Name| Silversand
Gender| She-Cat
Physical Description| Silversand is a rugged cat, built specifically for a rough life ahead. Her legs are short and well muscled while her body is long. Her tail is rather short, compared to her long body, but is generally the length of most cat's. A long time ago, in a dispute, she managed to twist her tail and her left hind leg, she also displays a mangled mess of scars. Some would assume she's a cripple, but other than a limp, she's fine. When it comes to how well she eats and her girth, it looks like she eats nothing at all, even though she's plump. Her spine pricks from her fur slightly, raising it off of the skin, while her ribs seem to poke from the flesh that covers her body. Her eyes are deep within her bony head and skin hangs off of her cheeks. Her bones allow for no fat to form between them and her skin. At the same time, she has a sort of pot belly, one that sways while she walks and drags along the dirt because of her lack of height. Her paws are large and round, perfect for leaping on bugs and digging holes quickly- when needed, and her ears are very tall and wide, although this does not make her any better at hearing than other cats. Silversand's fur is rough and prickly to the touch; rubbing it the wrong way feels like sand paper laced with poison and it's very thin, constantly clinging to her misshapen form. She has no protection from the cold, and in some places she's even missing fur from rubbing and scratching irritated areas. Her body is lined with ticks and other parasites that have decided to infest her body, simply because she lets them and does not take the time to remove it, but her skin is light, easily getting burned if she lays in the cracks of sun light too long. Silversand is mostly white with patches of orange and black mixed in. Near the top of her back, her spine, she has rough fur. Her underbelly has acquired a softer, white fur, though because of it dragging against the sand and her lack of grooming, it has become clumped, brown, and rough as well. All four of her paws are white, and her legs are tortoiseshell to her shoulders, similar to her tail, which is white at the base and tortoiseshell the rest of the way. Because of her age, Silversand's whiskers are long and sagging; they're depressing to look at since they droop so severely. Silver also lines her chin and other random spots about her belly, because of her age.
Views| Silversand thinks cats cannot live without one another, but at the same time she can't stand the thought of living with idiots for the rest of her life. She desperately wants there not to be a leader and not to have a 'clan' that follows the ways of her ancestors. She would detest looking up to any cat as a superior to her, and that's mostly because she's a little vain and power-hungry herself. However, she does not see pleasure in becoming leader herself. If there were to be a leader, she wouldn't trust them anyway. No, she doesn't think any cat should be trusted with such a big responsibility! She heard the stories of the deputy and leader who abandoned her clan, and - though they are not living any longer - their villainous intentions are still laden in the stone walls of the wretched enclosure. Kin| Mother -- Blackwhisker (Deceased // Age) Father -- Fireclaw (Deceased // Age)
Sister -- Flintpaw (Deceased // Starvation) Sister -- Gingerpaw (Deceased // Murder) Brother -- Graypaw (Deceased // Dehydration)
History| Silversand grew up in a time when the stories of their past leader and deputy still stung the hearts of many cats. Her mother and father had grown up together in the very nursery that they were now shunned from because of them, and they held a grudge so deep, it rivaled any clan hatreds. Blackwhisker was a soft-hearted sap with the brightest yellow eyes and a black pelt with a few white patches strewn about; her father- Fireclaw- was a ginger cat with several patches of white on his body. He was not as soft-hearted as Silversand's mother was, and he was a fighter. Their first litter of kits was born in the enclosure consisting of three she-cats and a tom. It was always shady and dark, but at night, even the cracks did not allow for color to be seen easily. Flintkit and Gingerkit were born looking much like their father in appearance and in markings; also their pelts were lighter than their two siblings so they were named Flint and Ginger after their father's dark ginger pelt. Graykit and Silverkit on the other hand, two white kits, landed themselves their names because of the lack of color, it was safe to assume they were gray due to Blackwhisker's silver pelted mother, although, they later found out that they retained Fireclaw's white coated father's gene. The kits grew up listening to their parents', and elders', stories of the clan; they all loved the magical feeling they explored when they were told such stories, but Silverkit could only point out the bad things; she was most definitely the pessimist in the group. While the rest were out playing and practicing hunting, Silverkit was staring out of cracks in the walls wondering why the leader and deputy had run off.
Soon, they were deemed "apprentices" by their father. They were only the age of four moons, but their parents figured that the enclosure needed more skilled hunters to catch prey; they were 'old school' parents in the thought that the whole group should try and feed the elders and the ones who had a harder time hunting. Silverpaw didn't like the idea of sacrificing a good meal to some old fool who was soon to die anyway. Still, at the command of her parents, she did what she was told and gave away the first piece of prey she caught. Silverpaw worked hard to learn how to hunt. Her big paws were great for leaping and grabbing prey - once they were in the enclosure, but she had a harder time catching the fast moving lizards when they rested near a crack in the wall. Her sisters, with smaller paws, could stick them out a tiny bit to get the lizards who thought they got away, but Graypaw faced a similar problem with his bulky paws. Silverpaw quickly learned how to stay still and wait for a lizard to venture safely inside of the enclosure and far enough away from the cracks for Silverpaw to catch up with. She became good enough to hunt on her own, without the direction of her parents, and she was tackling bigger lizards and other cats as well. She was known as the trouble maker. Her snappy remarks and hate for other cats were always apparent, and her cunning, taunting behavior fired up a lot of other cats. She often got into fights, quick spats with other cats where she'd get her ear raked off, and give a good blow to their nose.
The scrapper's parents figured she could handle herself, and her rough personality landed her the name Silversand. She grew older, always pawing at the cracks, always frustrated that she couldn't fit her paw out of the little holes and feel the outside world. Yes, she pondered escape many times, but never did she attempt it. As she grew older she watched other cats go crazy with the same thoughts she had, their insanity brewing until they were bouncing off walls and cursing lizards that wandered by. She managed to keep the composure of never attempting escape so that she would never fight the fate of becoming crazy herself. She liked being level headed and in control of her brain, and she wasn't about to loose it.
While she continued to pick fights with older cats, her siblings attempted to adjust to their life. Flintpaw was the first of the three to die. Her dainty body wasn't built for the rugged terrain and her hunting abilities were lacking. Her parents no longer asked her to give away the food she caught. They tried their best to support her, but they all needed more than she did. She failed to hunt on her own and soon died away like many others had. Her brother Graypaw followed suit soon after, not able to spend the light season without the usual dark season amount of water he was used to. Gingerpaw did similar to Silversand as the two were almost enjoying their life. They could keep up with their need for food and water, and rationed one meal over the course of a day. Their personalities were similar too; both cats were fighters that picked fights for fun, and it was only a matter of time before they picked fights with each other. Gingerpaw had an optimistic view of life; she wanted a new leader- even hoped to become leader herself, and Silversand completely disagreed. Their fight became so extensive that it was locked into the death. What had started as a spat between siblings had turned into a fright with fumed emotions between foes. In the end, it was Gingerpaw's neck that snapped first, but Silversand did not walk away without a mangled body herself. Her tail and leg were twisted and, because of her "rather not do anything about it" view, they would stay that way. Of course she managed more gashes and cuts as well, but they were hardly visible under her already heavily scarred body. She lived out a lot of her life being the same cat she was, but as she got older, she started to loose interest in physical fights, though her fiery attitude was never put out. For now, she resides by the walls, to herself, unless another cat happens to wander about. If they do not start something, somehow, with her, she will tolerate them. Generally, she'll re-tell the stories of her parents generation... most of the time adding a fabricated detail here and there.
(Quick Question: If I don't describe her eyes much now, is it possible for me to buy her an odd eyes when I have enough lizard tails?)

Did you read the name rules?
"A long time ago, in a dispute, she managed to twist her tail and her left hind leg," <-- comma splice -- What do you mean? Did they break?
"Some would assume" -- Who?
"but other than a limp-" -- I'm thinking that dash should be a comma, but if you want to keep it as a dash, but a space after limp.
"When it comes to how well she eats and her girth, you would assume she eats nothing at all," -- One, don't tell me what I would do; tell me what she is. Two, you're saying that based on "how well she eats", she eats nothing, which is impossible unless she's a zombie cat.
"Her spine pricks from her fur slightly, raising it off of the skin," -- Her backbone raises off her back? What?
"while her ribs seem to poke from the flesh that covers her body." -- She's plumb, and yet her ribs are visible?
"skin hangs off of her cheeks," <-- comma splice
"her bones allow for no fat to form between them and her skin." -- Is that possible?
"digging holes quickly- when needed," -- Digging in rock?
"simply because she lets them and does not take the time to remove it," -- Removing parasites isn't a mere matter of appearance. It's her health. If she lets them stay in her fur, that means she has to put of with the... feelings... they give her. If she rubs her fur out, I'm sure she'd try to get rid of parasites as well.
"but her skin is light, easily getting burned if she lays in the cracks of sun light too long." -- Can cats get sunburned? Anyway, the cracks of light aren't large enough to engulf a whole cat.
"Silversand is mostly white with patches of tan mixed in." -- She's a tabby with white markings?
"which is white at the base" -- Meaning her butt?
"they're depressing to look at since they droop so severely," <-- comma splice
"they're also a shiny shade of silver." -- Have you seen silver whiskers?
"She would detest looking up to any cat as a superior to her, and that's mostly because she's a little vain and power-hungry herself. However, she does not see pleasure in becoming leader herself." -- Then how is she power-hungry?
"If there were to be a leader, there is little thought that they could be trusted." -- You mean "she doesn't think they could be trusted"?
"and -(space)though they are not living any longer(space)- their"
"Silversand grew up in a time when the stories of their past leader and deputy still stung the hearts of many cats." -- They still do now.
"Her mother and father had grown up together in the very nursery that they were now shunned from because of them," -- What?
"and they held a grudge so deep, it rivaled any clan hatreds." -- There aren't any Clans now.
"Their first litter of kits was born in the enclosure consisting of three she-cats and a tom." -- This makes it sound like the enclosure consists of four cats.
"Graykit and Silverkit on the other hand, two white kits," -- Silver and gray are not white. Didn't you say this character has "tan" fur?
"it was safe to assume they were gray" -- No it wasn't.
"their parents, and elders" <-- parents' and elders'?
"stories of the clans," <-- comma splice -- There was only one Clan.
"but Silverkit could only point out the bad things," <-- comma splice
"Silverkit was staring out of cracks in the walls wondering why the leader and deputy had run off." -- Why did no one tell her?
"They were only the age of four moons," -- You know they can't see the lunar phases, right?
"Silverpaw didn't like the idea" -- Why not, if both her parents liked it?
"of sacrificing a good meal to some old fool who was soon to die anyway," <-- comma splice
"at the command of her parents;" <-- comma
"Silverpaw worked hard to learn how to hunt," <-- comma splice
"her big paws were great for leaping and grabbing prey(space)-"
"they teetered near a crack in the wall." -- Teeter doesn't seem like the right verb here.
"she was tackling bigger lizards and other cats as well." -- She's a cannibal?
"She was known as the trouble maker," <-- comma splice -- What trouble did she make?
"quickly, her snappy remarks and hate for other cats was always apparent," -- Quickly, remarks and hate was?
"and her cunning, taunting behavior" -- What did she do that was cunning and taunting?
"her rough personality landed her the name Silversand" -- A sandy personality isn't a rough personality.
"She managed to keep the composure of never attempting escape," <-- comma splice
"that way she would never fight the fate of becoming crazy herself," <-- comma splice -- If she wants to escape, then she is crazy.
"Flintpaw was the first of the three to die," <-- comma splice -- She starved?
"Her parents no longer asked her to give away the food she caught, and they tried their best to support her, but they all needed more than she did, and she failed to hunt on her own and soon died away like many others had." -- This sentence seems long.
"not able to spend the light season without water." -- No cat goes the whole season without water unless they're suicidal.
"Gingerpaw did similar to Silversand," <-- comma splice -- What do you mean?
"the two were almost enjoying their life," <-- comma splice -- Why weren't they?
"rationed what they did need over the light season" -- You mean they were storing food?
"she wanted a new leader(space)-"
"it was locked into the death" -- To the death? Until a death?
"turned into a fumed fight" <-- fuming?
"neck who" -- A neck isn't a who. It's a that.
"because of her -rather not do anything about it- view, they would stay that way." -- What is there that she could do about it? I'm thinking "rather not do anything about it" should be in quotes or italics.
"If I don't describe her eyes much now, is it possible for me to buy her an odd eyes when I have enough lizard tails?" -- mmm.... I'll have to think about that. It seems fair, but in a way that's like letting you have them and letting you pay later, which I don't know if I should do or not. Also, can cats that aren't white have odd eyes?

Yes I did. Silver describes her fur at birth and Sand describes her personality.
What do you mean? Did they break? xxx Yes, and now they are twisted.
Who? xxx In general, a cat would assume that a broken leg is a crippled cat.
I'm thinking that dash should be a comma, but if you want to keep it as a dash, but a space after limp. xxx Augh, sorry about the missing spaces. -slams on space key-
One, don't tell me what I would do; tell me what she is. Two, you're saying that based on "how well she eats", she eats nothing, which is impossible unless she's a zombie cat. xxx Kay, I'll edit that sentence. That's not what I'm saying, I'm saying on a first glance appearance it looks like she eats nothing at all.
Her backbone raises off her back? What? xxx It juts out like a starving cat.
She's plumb, and yet her ribs are visible? xxx Yes, And before you ask, there is a cat like that. His body doesn't give nourishment to him when he eats, but it makes his stomach round and plump. He's living quite fine from what I know.
Is that possible? xxx Hm, metaphorically… yes. xD I suppose I'll change that too.
Digging in rock? xxx I assume that if they are in a desert and there are cracks in the walls, a thin layer of sand would build up around the walls, where she hangs out.
Removing parasites isn't a mere matter of appearance. It's her health. If she lets them stay in her fur, that means she has to put of with the... feelings... they give her. If she rubs her fur out, I'm sure she'd try to get rid of parasites as well. xxx She doesn't put effort into it. She's not very healthy either, if you couldn't tell by her body shape. She'd itch, scratch, and be irritated. She rubs the fur off out of impulse. Just like a mosquito bite that gets itched even when it just makes it worse.
Can cats get sunburned? Anyway, the cracks of light aren't large enough to engulf a whole cat. xxx Yes they can, they can get skin cancer from it too. I wasn't saying her whole body, just whatever part happens to be under the sun why she's laying there.
She's a tabby with white markings? xxx Never said she was tabby. She's tan and white.
Meaning her butt? xxx Yes.
Have you seen silver whiskers? xxx No, but if a cat can have black whiskers because their fur is black, I assume a cat can have silver if their fur is silver. If you like, I can change it.
Then how is she power-hungry? xxx She likes to be strong. I shall add that ;3
You mean "she doesn't think they could be trusted"? xxx Jaja, English class has been away to long. -cuts out wordiness-
They still do now. xxx But since they didn't know them personally, wouldn't it be more back then?
What? xxx They grew up in riverclan nursery, they are now shunned from it because of their leader… (that's the way the history went right?)
There aren't any Clans now. xxx There were when her parents grew up.
This makes it sound like the enclosure consists of four cats. xxx How so? The parents giving birth to four kits makes it sound like the enclosure is made of only them?
Silver and gray are not white. Didn't you say this character has "tan" fur? xxx Yes, she also has white fur. In the dark of night how is anyone going to tell the differences in color? That is how they obtained their name. In black and white, white (unless pure white which isn’t actually available in the natural world) the color 'white' actually looks gray.
No it wasn't. xxx How so?
There was only one Clan. xxx I'll edit that
Why did no one tell her? xxx As far as I know, none of the cats knew why they ran off, there was no explanation in the plot.
You know they can't see the lunar phases, right? xxx True, but if you've lived with time, don't you estimate? I know I can say "it's been about five minutes".
Why not, if both her parents liked it? xxx Later explained, she has a purely pessimistic view.
Teeter doesn't seem like the right verb here. xxx What should I say for staying on the edge?
She's a cannibal? xxx I didn't say eating, I said tackling. It's used for fighting, of course in way of a lizard she's eating it when she's done fighting it.
What trouble did she make? xxx "her snappy remarks and hate for other cats"
Quickly, remarks and hate was? xxx -face palm- were.
What did she do that was cunning and taunting? xxx More detail? Really? V.v I mean, the cat was taunting, you have to be cunning to taunt. v.v
A sandy personality isn't a rough personality. xxx Sand is rough… so why not? Especially if they're in a rock enclosure with only a few bits of sand…. Single grains of sand suck to step on.
If she wants to escape, then she is crazy. xxx You can't have dreams without being crazy? I'd like to fly someday…
She starved? xxx Yes. I mentioned it in the kin, and how she didn't get enough food so I didn't think it was necessary to put the sentence 'flintpaw starved.' in.
This sentence seems long. xxx Yep, run on -changes-
No cat goes the whole season without water unless they're suicidal. xxx Without an abundance of water then? It seems wrong to say that too since you never get an abundance of water in the desert. … With less water then?
What do you mean? xxx "the two were almost enjoying their life, they could keep up with their need for food and water, and rationed what they did need over the light season." The whole sentence is meant to modify that.
Why weren't they? xxx Who enjoys a life in a cage? Even if they don't know any other life.
You mean they were storing food? xxx Storing, sharing, yes.
To the death? Until a death? xxx Fixing.
"turned into a fumed fight" <-- fuming? xxx I guess… o.o I've always heard fumed fight as an expression though.
A neck isn't a who. It's a that. xxx I know. Can you tell I haven't gone over this as thoroughly as I should have? (if at all v.v) ><
What is there that she could do about it? I'm thinking "rather not do anything about it" should be in quotes or italics. xxx I'll put it in quotes. Can't you re-break a leg to make it straight? Or at least sit on it so that it heals straight.
"If I don't describe her eyes much now, is it possible for me to buy her an odd eyes when I have enough lizard tails?" -- mmm.... I'll have to think about that. It seems fair, but in a way that's like letting you have them and letting you pay later, which I don't know if I should do or not. Also, can cats that aren't white have odd eyes? xxx I see what you mean. I've always had her with yellow-green and a blue eye but I can handle not doing that this time xD. Yes they can… would you like a picture?

"Silver describes her fur at birth" -- Her fur changed colors?
"She doesn't put effort into it." -- Why not? She likes the feeling they give her?
"In general, a cat would assume that a broken leg is a crippled cat." -- So she is crippled?
"It juts out like a starving cat." -- But she's not starving, is she?
"His body doesn't give nourishment to him when he eats," -- So this cat has some sort of disorder?
"a thin layer of sand would build up" -- Yes, there is sand, but not enough to dig a hole.
"Never said she was tabby. She's tan" -- Have you seen a tan cat who wasn't a tabby and wasn't a purebred?
"No, but if a cat can have black whiskers because their fur is black," -- I'm thinking they're either black or white, like a horse's hooves are either white or brown.
"She likes to be strong." -- How so?
"But since they didn't know them personally, wouldn't it be more back then?" -- You're saying her parents were alive during the betrayal?
"They grew up in riverclan nursery, they are now shunned from it because of their leader…" -- RiverClan no longer exists.
"There were when her parents grew up." -- No there weren't. Unless she's a zombie.
"The parents giving birth to four kits makes it sound like the enclosure is made of only them?" -- No, it was the syntax. "....the enclosure consisting of three she-cats and a tom."
"In the dark of night how is anyone going to tell the differences in color?" -- In the dark of night cats are busy staying warm. She could name them in the morning.
"How so?" -- You just said she couldn't tell.
"none of the cats knew" -- mmyeah, that's what I get for being subtle. It was forbidden love.
"True, but if you've lived with time" -- They haven't.
"she has a purely pessimistic view." -- Pure, you say? Where'd she get that?
"What should I say for staying on the edge?" -- Staying on the edge.
"I didn't say eating, I said tackling." -- aha.
"her snappy remarks and hate for other cats" -- What were her snappy remarks? Why did she hate other cats? How did she express it?
"you have to be cunning to taunt." -- Ya lahwy. No. No, you don't.
"Sand is rough…" -- Sand can be soft.
"Single grains of sand suck to step on." -- No more than little pebbles. They're used to it.
"You can't have dreams without being crazy?" -- You've fallen into the common pitfall most people encounter when they're new here. You don't understand what escape means to these cats. The enclosure is their entire known world. The Outside isn't like outer space. It's like a parallel universe on a different timeframe.
"With less water then?" -- You could say there was a drought and he wasn't able to win fights for water.
"The whole sentence is meant to modify that." -- It still doesn't make sense.
"Who enjoys a life in a cage?" -- Anyone born in raised in a cage who has known no life but in a cage and whose parents knew no life but in a cage. Stop thinking with your own views and put yourself in their paws.
"Storing" -- So they were eating carrion?
"I've always heard fumed fight as an expression though." -- You have? I haven't.
"Can't you re-break a leg to make it straight?" -- Perhaps, but none of these cats would have any way of knowing that.
"Yes they can… would you like a picture?" -- Sure.

"Silver describes her fur at birth" -- Her fur changed colors? XXX No, that’s the color her parents saw though. "She doesn't put effort into it." -- Why not? She likes the feeling they give her? XXX She's lazy. "In general, a cat would assume that a broken leg is a crippled cat." -- So she is crippled? XXX No, she gets around fine. It's not broken any more, it's just healed twisted. It also doesn't affect how well she can walk. "It juts out like a starving cat." -- But she's not starving, is she? XXX No, she's just mal-nourished. "His body doesn't give nourishment to him when he eats," -- So this cat has some sort of disorder? XXX I dunno, I've never really asked. I assume it's like humans, some of them don't process food the same as others. "a thin layer of sand would build up" -- Yes, there is sand, but not enough to dig a hole. XXX So I will get rid of that ;3 "Never said she was tabby. She's tan" -- Have you seen a tan cat who wasn't a tabby and wasn't a purebred? XXX Yes, It'll be the same picture as the odd eye'd cat; white with tan patches. I sorta modeled her color (not body shape) after her. "No, but if a cat can have black whiskers because their fur is black," -- I'm thinking they're either black or white, like a horse's hooves are either white or brown. XXX But a horse can have striped hooves if their an appaloosa ;3 (Sorry I'm in the sake of an argument xDD) I'll change it to white. "She likes to be strong." -- How so? XXX Physically, Mentally, in general she likes to be strong and in control of situations. (I have added that ;3) "But since they didn't know them personally, wouldn't it be more back then?" -- You're saying her parents were alive during the betrayal? XXX She's an elder, so I assume her parents would have been young, kits or something. "They grew up in riverclan nursery, they are now shunned from it because of their leader…" -- RiverClan no longer exists. XXX Above ;3 "There were when her parents grew up." -- No there weren't. Unless she's a zombie. XXX What? "The parents giving birth to four kits makes it sound like the enclosure is made of only them?" -- No, it was the syntax. "....the enclosure consisting of three she-cats and a tom." XXX Ahh, now that I see the whole sentence I see where you got that. I'll change that. "In the dark of night how is anyone going to tell the differences in color?" -- In the dark of night cats are busy staying warm. She could name them in the morning. XXX Maybe she didn't want to wait… since she was busy staying warm, she'd rather get it all over with. "How so?" -- You just said she couldn't tell. XXX Right, but I also said that her own mother was gray. So it was safe for her to assume that the kits who looked gray at the time were gray. "none of the cats knew" -- mmyeah, that's what I get for being subtle. It was forbidden love. XXX Doyy. I'm an idiot ;3 Well, since her parents must have been really young, they wouldn't have understood that xP, therefore not telling her. "True, but if you've lived with time" -- They haven't. XXX So they couldn't have been kits? The rules said that the cats living their now were born in and have always lived in the enclosure, is it impossible for an elder to have parents who (as kits) were still part of RiverClan before the betrayal? "she has a purely pessimistic view." -- Pure, you say? Where'd she get that? XXX Do personalities always have a reason? I know I'm argumentative when my parents are negotiators. "What should I say for staying on the edge?" -- Staying on the edge. XXX It makes the sentence wordy. "her snappy remarks and hate for other cats" -- What were her snappy remarks? Why did she hate other cats? How did she express it? XXX You want like… a list of them? She hated other cats because she was pessimistic. She expressed the hate through the snappy remarks and fighting. "you have to be cunning to taunt." -- Ya lahwy. No. No, you don't. XXX Well, for good taunts, ones that you make up on your own. "Sand is rough…" -- Sand can be soft. XXX But it can also be rough. I never said she couldn't be soft ;3 In the end of her history it talks about her telling stories to those who don't get on her nerves. "Single grains of sand suck to step on." -- No more than little pebbles. They're used to it. XXX But if I used pebble for her personality, that wouldn't be a problem? "You can't have dreams without being crazy?" -- You've fallen into the common pitfall most people encounter when they're new here. You don't understand what escape means to these cats. The enclosure is their entire known world. The Outside isn't like outer space. It's like a parallel universe on a different timeframe. XXX I understand that most cats don't even believe in it… but as a kit she heard 'magical' stories from her parents. One doesn't want to live in a cage when they've heard those stories. "With less water then?" -- You could say there was a drought and he wasn't able to win fights for water. XXX Kay. "Who enjoys a life in a cage?" -- Anyone born in raised in a cage who has known no life but in a cage and whose parents knew no life but in a cage. Stop thinking with your own views and put yourself in their paws. XXX I am. If a cat has heard stories, they want to know more, or at least she does. Maybe I should add curiosity into the History. I'd much rather just write up a personality for you than try and have you make inferences of her personality from her history alone. Not everything comes from a cat's past. "Storing" -- So they were eating carrion? XXX Storing doesn't mean for a more than a week, she can eat one animal over the span of a day. "I've always heard fumed fight as an expression though." -- You have? I haven't. XXX Well I already changed it ;3 "Can't you re-break a leg to make it straight?" -- Perhaps, but none of these cats would have any way of knowing that. XXX Hmm, I would just think one of them would have tried to straighten their leg at some point >< "Yes they can… would you like a picture?" -- Sure. XXX Odd Eyes Now that I look at her, she is tabby. Anywho, Siamese can be tan without tabby…. However, I suppose I'll make her calico, same markings just white with tortoiseshell markings.

"She's lazy." -- Laziness avoids pain or unpleasantness. Parasites cause pain or unpleasantness.
"It also doesn't affect how well she can walk." -- It's no disadvantage whatsoever?
"she's just mal-nourished." -- What's the difference?
"I've never really asked." -- Have you researched this?
"But a horse can have striped hooves if their an appaloosa" -- Yes. And these cats aren't appaloosas.
"She's an elder, so I assume her parents would have been young, kits or something." -- Even if she is old, the betrayal was far too long ago for her parents to have been there.
"What?" -- Unless she had a natural lifespan, died, and kept walking around.
"Maybe she didn't want to wait… since she was busy staying warm, she'd rather get it all over with." -- Since she was busy staying warm, staying warm and keeping her newborns alive, cleaning them off, and nursing them would take all of her focus.
"Right, but I also said that her own mother was gray." -- Cats study genetics now?
"So it was safe for her to assume that the kits who looked gray at the time were gray." -- Didn't they, or at least Silversand, have patches of another color?
"since her parents must have been really young," -- No, not born yet.
"So they couldn't have been kits?" -- Correct.
"is it impossible for an elder to have parents who (as kits) were still part of RiverClan before the betrayal?" -- Yes.
"Do personalities always have a reason?" -- Of course.
"I know I'm argumentative when my parents are negotiators." -- Were her parents extreme optimists?
"It makes the sentence wordy." -- I haven't gone back to look at the original sentence. You can find another way to say it.
"You want like… a list of them?" -- Some examples.
"She hated other cats because she was pessimistic." -- Pessimism doesn't make you hate anyone.
"She expressed the hate through the snappy remarks and fighting." -- Fighting over what? Just attacking random passers-by?
"But it can also be rough." -- But that doesn't matter, because in order for sand to work as her prefix, she has to act sandy, which means shifting or unstable. Anyway, I dislike it as a prefix because of the color connotation.
"But if I used pebble for her personality, that wouldn't be a problem?" -- Of course it would. Names aren't just whatever metaphor you feel like slapping on a cat's head. There's a formula.
"I understand that most cats don't even believe in it… but as a kit she heard 'magical' stories from her parents. One doesn't want to live in a cage when they've heard those stories." -- Do you believe all the fairy tales you were told as a kid? Anyway, I know the plot is misleading, but stories don't always portray the Outside in a positive light.
"I am." -- You're not if you're thinking she can yern for the Outside and not be insane.
"I'd much rather just write up a personality" -- Summarizing a personality is impossible. And by impossible, I don't mean it's purdy dang hard. I mean you cannot do it. You can write some things about a personality, sure, but will never be able to pin down even half of it.
"Not everything comes from a cat's past." -- Where else would it come from?
"Storing doesn't mean for a more than a week, she can eat one animal over the span of a day." -- Clarify that, then. I thought you meant they hunted in the dark season, threw it aside, and ate it next season.
"Hmm, I would just think one of them would have tried to straighten their leg at some point" -- Why?
"Now that I look at her, she is tabby." -- mmhm.
"Anywho, Siamese can be tan without tabby…." -- Siamese don't live here.

"She's lazy." -- Laziness avoids pain or unpleasantness. Parasites cause pain or unpleasantness. XXX Laziness doesn't avoid anything if it's sloth like. She doesn't care about getting hurt. She doesn't even care about death for heavens sake. If she cared about her health she wouldn't have gotten in as much fights, or tried to get into more fights.
"It also doesn't affect how well she can walk." -- It's no disadvantage whatsoever? XXX She limps, and perhaps it makes hunting a little harder, but this doesn’t make her a cripple.
"she's just mal-nourished." -- What's the difference? XXX One can eat a lot and not be getting the nutrients you need. Cats that eat only veggies can develop muscular problems from their lack of protein for example.
"I've never really asked." -- Have you researched this? XXX Humans or cats? Humans? There's no need to research that. It's known that some humans have a faster metabolism. Some humans can't create insulin or glucose. Some humans drink beer and get a fat belly, but have skinny legs. I mean… it must be the same for cats. Cats have the same structure as humans, heart, liver, lungs, stomach…
"But a horse can have striped hooves if their an appaloosa" -- Yes. And these cats aren't appaloosas. XXX Please ignore my want to argue, it's been to long since my debate class ;3
"She's an elder, so I assume her parents would have been young, kits or something." -- Even if she is old, the betrayal was far too long ago for her parents to have been there. XXX Didn't know that. It would have been at least four generations since Silversand is at least two, and her parents are already dead of old age… meaning at least two as well.
"What?" -- Unless she had a natural lifespan, died, and kept walking around. XXX I see what you mean, now that I know it's impossible to have a four generation ago cat in RiverClan.
"Maybe she didn't want to wait… since she was busy staying warm, she'd rather get it all over with." -- Since she was busy staying warm, staying warm and keeping her newborns alive, cleaning them off, and nursing them would take all of her focus. XXX Maybe she didn't care about her own health. She was more worried about the life her kits would have. Maybe she had longer fur. There are thousands of possibilities, should I put one in the history to describe the mothers fur and the mothers personality too?
"Right, but I also said that her own mother was gray." -- Cats study genetics now? XXX No, but if one RPs the mother of a litter, there is generally something stating they want them to look like their mate, or their mother or something. It's natural to have some connection with loved ones and their kits. Although, not in the real life… but in RP aren't we making out cats to… have a more developed brain anyway? I mean… they talk… some have life-long mates…. Etc.
"So it was safe for her to assume that the kits who looked gray at the time were gray." -- Didn't they, or at least Silversand, have patches of another color? XXX She had other colors, but the rules said no names can be based on a minor color. The minor colors on Silversand's pelt would be orange and black.
"is it impossible for an elder to have parents who (as kits) were still part of RiverClan before the betrayal?" -- Yes. XXX You may want to say "generations" in your rules then, right now, it says that only this generation, it mentions nothing about their parents.
"Do personalities always have a reason?" -- Of course. XXX I don't agree at all.
"I know I'm argumentative when my parents are negotiators." -- Were her parents extreme optimists? XXX Sure, but I didn't say anything about it since … well it's not about them ;3.
"It makes the sentence wordy." -- I haven't gone back to look at the original sentence. You can find another way to say it. XXX I did ;3
"You want like… a list of them?" -- Some examples. XXX Kay. I'll add some.
"She hated other cats because she was pessimistic." -- Pessimism doesn't make you hate anyone. XXX No, but if she doesn't have a positive outlook on life, she's obviously not going to be the most loving cat in the world. Also, the fact that things in her past did add up just makes her moody.
"She expressed the hate through the snappy remarks and fighting." -- Fighting over what? Just attacking random passers-by? XXX Do you want me to put in all of the reasons for her fights? Her many many fights?
"But it can also be rough." -- But that doesn't matter, because in order for sand to work as her prefix, she has to act sandy, which means shifting or unstable. Anyway, I dislike it as a prefix because of the color connotation. XXX Like I said, she's rough and soft. 'Heart' doesn't mean you have to love everything, it can also mean that you have passion for some things.
"But if I used pebble for her personality, that wouldn't be a problem?" -- Of course it would. Names aren't just whatever metaphor you feel like slapping on a cat's head. There's a formula. XXX But if Pebbles and Sand feel the same, why doesn't sand work?
"I understand that most cats don't even believe in it… but as a kit she heard 'magical' stories from her parents. One doesn't want to live in a cage when they've heard those stories." -- Do you believe all the fairy tales you were told as a kid? Anyway, I know the plot is misleading, but stories don't always portray the Outside in a positive light. XXX Her parents may have given her positive looks of it. Besides, I did believe in a lot of them xD
"I am." -- You're not if you're thinking she can yern for the Outside and not be insane. XXX She's not yearning. I said she thinks about it, not attempts it. She thinks "What is the outside like" and "What makes some cats want out?" She never thinks "How can I get out" or anything like that.
"I'd much rather just write up a personality" -- Summarizing a personality is impossible. And by impossible, I don't mean it's purdy dang hard. I mean you cannot do it. You can write some things about a personality, sure, but will never be able to pin down even half of it. XXX I know, I don't like personalities either. However, it's easier for me to tell you things about her personality then having you basically make an 'educated guess' or inference about it.
"Not everything comes from a cat's past." -- Where else would it come from? XXX Nature. People have a Nature vs. Nurture theory, I think personality comes from both.
"Storing doesn't mean for a more than a week, she can eat one animal over the span of a day." -- Clarify that, then. I thought you meant they hunted in the dark season, threw it aside, and ate it next season. XXX Eh, Okay.
"Hmm, I would just think one of them would have tried to straighten their leg at some point" -- Why? XXX Because they don't want a twisted leg?
"Anywho, Siamese can be tan without tabby…." -- Siamese don't live here. XXX I know, and it's impossible for any of these cats to be pure breed >]

"She doesn't care about getting hurt." -- The parasites don't bother her? Is she masochistic?
"She limps, and perhaps it makes hunting a little harder," -- Say that, then.
"One can eat a lot and not be getting the nutrients you need." -- So what would she be eating a lot of that wouldn't give her the right nutrients?
"Humans or cats?" -- Cats.
"Cats have the same structure as humans, heart, liver, lungs, stomach…" -- Have you researched this disorder in felines?
"Maybe she didn't care about her own health." -- Is this a theme here?
"She was more worried about the life her kits would have." -- Yes, and that means keeping them alive, not naming them.
"but in RP aren't we making out cats to… have a more developed brain anyway?" -- We're personifying them. That doesn't mean she can assume what a kit would look like, only what it would not look like.
"The minor colors on Silversand's pelt would be orange and black." -- Is more than half of her white?
"You may want to say 'generations' in your rules then, right now, it says that only this generation," -- Where did you read this?
"I don't agree at all." -- Okay. You think... peronalities... just appear?
"Sure," -- Then you can show how she grew against that.
"it's not about them" -- Yes, but you should include how they've influenced her.
"she's obviously not going to be the most loving cat in the world." -- Pessimism and optimism have nothing to do with love. An eyore could be affectionate and a tigger could be cruel.
"Also, the fact that things in her past did add up just makes her moody." -- What things in her past? How is she moody?
"Do you want me to put in all of the reasons for her fights?" -- I'd like some examples.
"'Heart' doesn't mean you have to love everything, it can also mean that you have passion for some things." -- No, heart means heart. Used as a suffix, it means a cat is hearty.
"But if Pebbles and Sand feel the same, why doesn't sand work?" -- ...This question doesn't seem to make sense. Pebbles don't work, so why would being similar to sand make sand work? What something feels like doesn't make it work, anyhow. It's the meaning of the adjective form.
"Her parents may have given her positive looks of it." -- Why?
"Besides, I did believe in a lot of them" -- You did for a time. Do you now, though?
"What is the outside like" -- Why would she wonder that when there are stories to tell her all she could want to know? They're not in detail, of course, but she wouldn't be able to think of it in detail anyway.
"What makes some cats want out?" -- Insanity. She would know this too.
"However, it's easier for me to tell" -- Show, don't tell. You've heard that before, no?
"Nature." -- As in family history? Or do you mean some sort of... cosmic soul?
"Because they don't want a twisted leg?" -- Sure, but - it's not as simple as untwisting your leg, is it?

"She doesn't care about getting hurt." -- The parasites don't bother her? Is she masochistic? XXX Masochism aims to hurt yourself. Apathetic behavior just doesn't care. It obviously bothers her, or else she wouldn't scratch patches of fur off, she just doesn't see a point in taking parasites off. She can live with it. "She limps, and perhaps it makes hunting a little harder," -- Say that, then. XXX I did. "One can eat a lot and not be getting the nutrients you need." -- So what would she be eating a lot of that wouldn't give her the right nutrients? XXX Well, she eats a lot of lizards, perhaps it doesn't have enough keratin. I'll put something in there where she doesn't eat rats, since they do have it. It would make sense that she doesn't eat rats anyway, since she wouldn't team up and fight with a group of cats. "Humans or cats?" -- Cats. XXX No, I haven’t. However, structures are similar, so I'm positive there are similar problems. "Cats have the same structure as humans, heart, liver, lungs, stomach…" -- Have you researched this disorder in felines? XXX No, but I have researched mal-nourished felines. They have her problem, some of them go blind, others have their whole eye burst. Some have kits that are all still born, some have kits that aren't developed fully. I know it's possible for a mal-nourished feline, but I have not researched what specifically causes it. "Maybe she didn't care about her own health." -- Is this a theme here? XXX I suppose. I guess that's your answer to why Silversand is like she is. "but in RP aren't we making out cats to… have a more developed brain anyway?" -- We're personifying them. That doesn't mean she can assume what a kit would look like, only what it would not look like. XXX It has nothing to do with what she can assume. She saw a gray cat and thought of her gray mother. That doesn't take a super human mad scientist brain. "The minor colors on Silversand's pelt would be orange and black." -- Is more than half of her white? XXX Yes, it's the main color. "You may want to say 'generations' in your rules then, right now, it says that only this generation," -- Where did you read this? XXX "At this point all the present cats were born and raised (or are being raised) in the enclosure. They are used to it. Some prefer it to the outside world and some even believe this is the only world that exists. Only the insane think of escape." It says nothing about their parents. hereAlso, since "some prefer it to the outside world" concludes that there may have been some more recent stories, like parents that sound more realistic than just a fantasy. "I don't agree at all." -- Okay. You think... personalities... just appear? XXX No, I think anything with a brain can come up with what it wants to do with itself… no one makes up it's personality for them. I do agree that parts of a personality are made up by a history, but at the same time, one can have a plan for something that's never happened to them before. "it's not about them" -- Yes, but you should include how they've influenced her. XXX Right. "she's obviously not going to be the most loving cat in the world." -- Pessimism and optimism have nothing to do with love. An eyore could be affectionate and a tigger could be cruel. XXX But if she's pessimistic about everything, she'd be pessimistic about behavior of other cat. She'd be pessimistic about wanting to be friendly. By the way, I love your for using Eeyore, he's my lufferly <3 "Also, the fact that things in her past did add up just makes her moody." -- What things in her past? How is she moody? XXX Her sisters' death, brothers, the fact that she fought a lot. She's moody because she's agitated by cats and then snaps. She can also be rather nice, and chat with a cat. "Do you want me to put in all of the reasons for her fights?" -- I'd like some examples. XXX Well, I stated how her sister was optimistic, they would have fought over views. I will put in some more too O.o "'Heart' doesn't mean you have to love everything, it can also mean that you have passion for some things." -- No, heart means heart. Used as a suffix, it means a cat is hearty. XXX Things only have one meaning? "Her parents may have given her positive looks of it." -- Why? XXX Her mother was softhearted and kind. "Besides, I did believe in a lot of them" -- You did for a time. Do you now, though? XXX No, but that's because people proved me wrong. These cat's have nothing to prove them wrong. "What is the outside like" -- Why would she wonder that when there are stories to tell her all she could want to know? They're not in detail, of course, but she wouldn't be able to think of it in detail anyway. XXX She wants to know it for herself, she's curious. "What makes some cats want out?" -- Insanity. She would know this too. XXX She does, but it doesn't mean she doesn't try to think more into it. What makes them insane in the first place? "However, it's easier for me to tell" -- Show, don't tell. You've heard that before, no? XXX I have, but I also haven't rped yet. And her history isn't down to every action she's ever made since she was a kit, so I can't really show that in detail. "Nature." -- As in family history? Or do you mean some sort of... cosmic soul? XXX Nature vs. Nurture… Nurture is family history, how a person, or cat in this case, was raised and how it affects them. Nature is something that just happens… nature is because of a person's brain and that itself… it's not about how things affected them completely. "Because they don't want a twisted leg?" -- Sure, but - it's not as simple as untwisting your leg, is it? XXX No, but if they even tried it in the first place, they'd put some effort into it. If they want a straight leg, with a little pain, they can just untwist it.

"she just doesn't see a point in taking parasites off." -- She wouldn't have the pain anymore. That's a point.
"she eats a lot of lizards, perhaps it doesn't have enough keratin." -- Lizards seem like a natural enough thing for a cat to eat. Do cats ned keratin? How much? How much do lizards have?
"She saw a gray cat and thought of her gray mother." -- So cats can't tell the difference between gray and white, even though gray is darker?
"here" -- mmkay, I'll edit that.
"there may have been some more recent stories" -- What do you mean?
"No, I think anything with a brain can come up with what it wants to do with itself…" -- Where would those desires originate from?
"one can have a plan for something that's never happened to them before." -- What do you mean? I can plan to go skydiving, when I've never done it before? Yes, I can.
"she'd be pessimistic about behavior of other cat. She'd be pessimistic about wanting to be friendly." -- This does not equate with hate.
"she's agitated by cats" -- When they do what? Exist?
"Things only have one meaning?" -- "Things", the word itself? No. Are you sure you read the name rules?
"Her mother was softhearted and kind." -- How does being softhearted and kind make a cat like the outside? What did she do that was softhearted and kind?
"No, but that's because people proved me wrong." -- How does one prove a fairy tale wrong?
"These cat's have nothing to prove them wrong." -- And whatever they believe to be true, why would she be interested in it? I know other planets exist, and creatures deep in the ocean, and I find them interesting enough but am not compelled to study them and learn everything I can of them.
"She wants to know it for herself, she's curious." -- Why?
"I also haven't rped yet." -- Which means there's even less you could say about her personality. Focus on her views; that's where you'll find her.
"Nature vs. Nurture" -- I know what it is. I've taken classes in Anthropology.
"nature is because of a person's brain" -- Which is built from DNA which is inherited from parents. No cosmic soul for you, then?
"with a little pain," -- Have you ever untwisted a broken leg?
