She did not want to seem hostile and accusatory to the elder, so she put on an expression of contentedness, and decided to brood about the matter of Patchfur later. "C'mon, let's go..." She trailed off and squinted at the group of cats. "Hey, I think I see Woodstripe there!" She didn't add that she also saw Patchfur, and she tried not to show her irritation about this.

Dingypaw perked up considerably. For a young cat, Woodstripe had many of the qualities the elder looked for in a leader. Too bad she wasn't going to be eligible for the position. "Alright..." Dingypaw meowed skeptically, but decided not to push the matter. It was more important to get to the group of cats. "Don't go too fast," the gray she-cat warned.
