"No mentor?" The ginger cat raised an eyebrow at this statement. Who took care of this kit? He certainly couldn't be alone, could he..? Then, deciding to voice her thoughts, she asked the question she had been thinking.

"Who takes care of ya, kit?"

"Nope," Amberkit put in helpfully. He then began thinking about the next question, wondering if there was any cat he could consider a guardian.
Hmm. Apparently he was alone. The kit realised this with a bit of surprise in his eyes, and then he said, "No one, I guess. Mummy and Daddy are over there."

He flicked his small tail towards the Boneyard, seeming to wilt where he sat ever so slightly.

yeahh. like, i didn't reply for a long time before, so now it's coming back at me from another person, if that makes any sense at all?

"Kit. How'dya 'pect to survive if you don't really know how to hunt? Not every cat's gonna always be 'round to kill prey for you and stuff..." she trailed off, trying to stop the negative thoughts. The kit already seemed to be sad about his mother and father, why add to that?

"'M parents are 'ver thur, too." She said finally.

Amberkit really had no idea how to respond to what Gingerstream had said, so he kept quiet about the first sentence. When Gingerstream finally said that her parents were over there too, however, Amberkit quickly got back his energy and hopped onto his feet.

"We's the saaaame then!" he said, when an idea hit him.
"Could you teach me how ta' hunt?"

"Whatta ya askin', kit? 'Dat I mentor ya?" She paused, confused. Why would anyone want an insane cat to mentor you? ...well, maybe he didn't know she was 'insane'. Besides, according to her, she wasn't insane at all. Just.. imaginative.

"And 'ow we 'da same, kit? I'mma big kitty and you're a small, itty-bitty kit. 'Das 'ferent." She blinked, not completely understanding.

[Darky [Megan]]

"I thinks tha's the right wurd for it," Amberkit replied, nodding. "Sooooooo?" His large kit eyes looked up at Gingerstream, awaiting an answer.

Amberkit saw reason. "Um. Tha' is true, I guess ..." he trailed off, forgetting what he had talked about in the first place and frowning.

"I dun't know," Gingerstream said finally, being honest about this. What, with Smudgeheart's tom hatred? Even if he is a little kit and all.. Still.

She nodded. "Eurr, yah. So.." she mumbled, not sure what else to say to that, until she finally settled on something. "Of 'cos it's true! I says so, after all!"

Amberkit was puzzled. "How cans you not know? Itsa simple question, yes or no!" the kit mewed. "Why're you so unsure?

"And you can'ts always be wight, you know," Amberkit mewed insistently. He decided to close that topic and sat down.

Silence blared at him.

He decided to ask a question. "Do you haff any bwothers or sistas?"

"I just dun't." Gingerstream shrugged lightly. "But, I guess I could, if you'd like that," she added, as if it was no big deal, which it wasn't, in her opinion. She was about to answer his next statement, but decided not to and seemed a bit shocked at his next quesiton.

"Naw," she said simply in reply. "Do you?" The ginger tabby asked, before adding something else, "I has a kit, 'dough, he's all growns up."
