ooc| A lot of the blood is his own. But I want to post, so... I'll imagine Sandfur overheard Speckledclaw.

Grimykit yowled in agony, squirming and giving the she-cat feeble kicks with his bloody back legs. "Stoppit! Please!" he begged, his voice growing horse, before spurting a wheezing cough. The blood was still interfering with his vision and he lolled his head to the side so that it would drip to the ground and clear his eye. "Yer gonna kill me, kitty..."

OOC| Good idea. -modifies post-
"I think that's her intent," Sandfur mewed with uncharacteristic coldness. If this was what it came to, then so be it. Which didn't mean that she'd kill him herself, or even get near that filthy piece of rat droppings.

Speckledclaw audibly snarled at Grimykit's response. It was as if he hadn't even heard a single word of what she had been saying. Disgusted with his behaviour and irritated at the half-hearted kicks he kept trying to plant on her belly, Speckledclaw backed down off the tom with her claws still drawn, in case Grimykit tried to pull anything at the last minute, though she personally doubted he could do anything in his current state.
"You were prob'ly deaf to what I was sayin' just now, like you're deaf to everythin' reasonable. I'm a cat of my word, though, and my name isn't Speckledclaw fer nuthin'," Speckledclaw snapped harshly. She drew her attention away from Grimykit for the first time since their encounter and paused to examine Branchkit's corpse.
She had seen worse, but Grimykit had certainly torn her up good. It was debatable if her corpse could be dragged over to the Boneyard and still remain intact. Speckledclaw decided to give it a try anyway. The dead needed respect.
Walking over to the corpse, Speckledclaw determined the best piece of flesh she could hold onto with her teeth and started to pull. Memories pounded at her head as the corpse slid smoothly across the sand.

With Speckledclaw's teeth occupied, Grimykit grew bold enough to mutter, "Well, since ya asked, no, I dun undastand." He panted and considered getting up, but after a half-hearted attempt, he thought better of it. "Cuz ya know, ya didn't really tell me what stuff I could do that I would and wouldn't deserve dyin' fer." He smirked, knowing she would displeased enough with this, and added a last sentence for her further aggravation. "So 'stead of draggin' dead meat around, how's 'bout ya let me hear a lil' more a' ya purdy voice?"

Speckledclaw continued with her task of dragging the corpse over to the Boneyard. She had been sure Grimykit would speak as soon as her claws were busy elsewhere, and grunted in annoyance as he spewed out more evidence of his arrogant ignorance.
"Since yeh think so highly of yerself and hafta plead for me to stop tearing you up, you'd best be shuttin' up and 'oping that you don't bleed to death," Speckledclaw snapped, her voice coming out slightly muffled against Branchkit's pelt. "If I 'ad to tell you what you 'ad to do to get yerself finished off, then you'd probably be dead by now. O' course, I've been wondering why any cat like you'd still be alive." She paused for a moment, feeling an odd mix of frustration, pity and bloodlust, before decidedly saying, "Just shut your yap, Grimykit."

Well, that was no fun.
Still, she had a point. Most of the time, Grimykit was not at all receptive to points, but this matter was a tad more important than usual, so he resigned himself to scowling to himself and licking his wounds, the pain lessening but still present. He was starting to hate that cat.
How dare she say he had killed "for a very stupid reason"? What did she know? Nothing. Nothing at all. Nothing at all about years of rejection, years of humiliation, years of hunger more potent than that of others. Nobody ever gave him anything, so he had no choice but to take it. A tom needs flesh. That dirtfaced Speckledclaw would never understand. In her ignorance, she dared condemn his necessity, and for that, he assured himself, she might one day meet Branchkit's fate.
The tabby spoke to her no more, and when he was able, he struggled to his paws and limped away. He needed to find Beetlepaw.

Sandfur got up and walked over to Speckledclaw. "Let me help you," she mewed. Maybe doing something would take her mind off what she had just seen.

ooc Speckledclaw's already deposited the body at the Boneyard, but I'll reply anyways because we can make use of liquid time.
bic Speckledclaw grunted some thanks, and shifted to take a better look at Sandfur. It seemed she was quite a good cat. Sighing, Speckledclaw recalled past occasions where her father and her had worked together to clean up after a fight. If only there were more cats like that.
That was one of the reasons why they needed a Clan.

OOC>> Read that after I posted. Since it caused no interaction, I suppose it could be deleted/modified?

Sandfur walked over to Speckledclaw. She grabbed the carcass by the most solid piece of skin, recoiling as the stench of death hit her nose and mouth. She sunk her teeth in deeper and began to drag it across the sand with the other tabby.
