Welcome! This thread contains a little checklist (this post) and FAQ (in the post below) for anyone new to the site. You might find it useful; you might not. In the latter case, please make a thread in the questions and ideas board, where you can ask for help or clarification, or make suggestions, comments, and even criticism. All input is welcome.

Before you ask any questions in the Questions & Ideas board, read this post. The FAQ explains a lot of the basics of the site, including some plot aspects and how LTs work.
Frequently Asked Questions--
Where does the "rc" in starlessrc.proboards.com come from?
It stands for RiverClan.
What are LTs?
Lizard tails (LTs) are the forum currency.
How do I earn them?
Each time you post on a thread, you earn a lizard tail. You can also earn LTs by selling graphics or working for the government in the Points & Purchases board.
How do I spend them?
Check the Stats table on the right side of the page. Under Prices, it lists some privileges you may buy. You can also use LTs to buy art and graphics from other members. All this takes place in the Points & Purchases board.
Is this a Warriors role play or just a cat role play?
That's a difficult question to answer because it depends on how you define a Warriors role play. The plot does have its roots in the traditional Clan system, and characters have Clan-style two-part names. However, the modern cats live an nontraditional lifestyle, so a scribe would not need to read the Warriors books in order to role play here.
With no plants, how is there a food chain?
The cats are the ones who can't get out. That doesn't mean smaller species can't. Bugs and lizards tend to wander inside, what with them not having big brains. Rats eat almost anything.
How big is the enclosure?
Picture something about the size of a football field -- it's pretty spacious without being expansive. A warrior can look all around and see cats on the other side, but it takes a good while to walk over to them.
Is escape from the enclosure possible?
No. All sane cats know that there is no way out.
Why did the leader and deputy seal the enclosure?
They were in love. As this was forbidden, they decided to exile their Clan before the Clan could exile them. They saw the plan as an elaborate and potent slap to the face for restrictive traditions, thinking it would shake the foundations of everything the Clan believed in, and they were right.
Can I make a character based on a real cat?
Yes and no.
It's fine to draw inspiration from a real cat for appearance, personality, and some background information. That can be useful. What you shouldn't do is try to make the character be that cat. This character is your own creation, raised under very different circumstances. Don't try to force every little detail to be the same. Even if your dearly departed kitten was named Fluffy, it's not okay to name your character Fluffypelt. Find a different way to honor her.
Is it okay if my character's mother was insane and--
No. I don't even know what you were about to ask, but no.
If you just want to have the character just have a crazy mother and grow up with a personality/history/affected by that, that's one thing. That makes sense. What you're not allowed to do is use a crazy relative as an excuse for something that doesn't make sense.
Can my character receive dreams from StarClan and find out that she is destined to fulfill an ancient prophecy that--
No.
Can my character believe in StarClan?
Sorry, but no. StarClan has been abandoned and forgotten. Furious that they had been given no warning of the betrayal, and feeling abandoned by their ancestors, the first generation inside the enclosure did not pass on this religion to their offspring, and so belief in it has died out. However, characters may have spiritual beliefs, if you so choose. They might believe in some variety of afterlife or deity, for example. This must be explained in the character's bio. If a society forms and overt spirituality spreads among the cats, it is possible for there to be a religious movement mini-plot, along with all the resistance, zealotry, and conflicts that come along with that.
Where in the bio form do I put my character's personality?
You can express personality through the way the cat thinks and sees the world (views section) and their behavior and reactions to events in the past (history section).
Do cats have eyebrows?
Yes.
