Ooc: Alright. I'll make Patchfur leave.
Bic: "What? Of course bossy Woodstripe would be good at that. She'd be yelling at us night and day! You want a leader that forces us to do his bidding no matter how mean it is! Because a leader that forceful will definitely have some cruel commands. I am sick, sick, sick of you!" he yowled angrily, his claws out. But he didn't fight. Instead, he stalked away, calling out before he left, "And if you think I'm going to participate now, with him there, think again!"
Dingypaw sighed. "Young cats. Always getting so riled up over the littlest things. Oh, thank you Woodstripe," she added. "Now that he's gone, can we elect you to be leader? I really think you would be the best. I mean, I have a feeling you can be bossy when it's needed, like when cats are getting out of line," she meowed, gesturing towards the direction where Patchfur had left, "but you could also be kind and compassionate when it's needed. I've seen both extremes wanting to lead a Clan. They created experiments like you. One leader attacked them if they got out of line, and the second time, he kicked them out with some good wounds to remember him by," she mewed, shuddering. "He was absolutely awful. But there was leader who, when she made her Clan-experiment, was so kind that she never stopped cats from fighting, or taking more than their fair share of food. The Clan was not at all organized. What we need is balance, and I think Woodstripe is a very balanced she-cat," Dingypaw meowed firmly.

ooc| The image of Woodstripe yelling made me laugh.
bic|
"Please, Patchfur - " Woodstripe began, but she cut herself off, seeing the futility. She could speak with him later.
"Dingypaw, I am sorry to inform you that we cannot do as you wish," she mewed, trying not to look too sorry. "I have removed myself from the possible nominations. You see, not everyone shares your opinion. However, I am sure the group has many other cats that you would be pleased with." The tabby looked at the others, giving each cat an encouraging smile.

"I thought it was only him," she meowed. "But I think he has problems. Besides, he left. Who else is even in the experiment?" she asked. She thought for a moment. "Maybe we should have a sort of getting-together of all the cats that are going to be in the experiment and have them tell a little bit about themselves. You're the only one I know," the old she-cat suggested.

Batkit's tail stuck up with excitement. "Yeah," he mewed, agreeing with Dingypaw's idea. "But lots of cats still don't know what we're doing here..." He trailed off.

"True," Dingypaw admitted. "Maybe we could lure them into some sort of gathering and we could tell them both what we are doing here and a little about ourselves. I think it sounds like a good idea, and we need to get every cat possible on our side. Hopefully when they try out this experiment, they'll think again and decide that a Clan is a good idea."

Batkit tilted his head to one side, pondering over the idea. "But... how will we get them to know about the mini-Clan we're making? The enclosure's huge."

Ooc: I've been meaning to ask this for a while.... How old is Batkit?
"Hmm...." Dingypaw mewed, pondering the question. "Perhaps we should send out messenger cats to spread the word. It certainly couldn't hurt, and any other cats who are sensible enough to support a Clan may learn about the mini-Clan. After all, surely these aren't all the cats in the enclosure that support the idea of a Clan."

"I must request that we refrain from referring to it as a mini-Clan. It is not a Clan, by official standards. Also, I would not like for potential members to be dissuaded in thinking that this is a Clan that we are forming. Instead, rather, it is the prerequisite to a Clan - a test run, if you will. Cats who are opposed to Clanhood need not be opposed to the experiment," Woodstripe explained.
ooc| I think Batkit is older than kit age, but I've already forgotten by how much.

Dingypaw nodded. "True. I understand that the experiment is not exactly Clan, but it will be run like a Clan, have a leader like a Clan, and have ranks like a Clan. That's why I called it a mini-clan, but if you want, I can call it an experiment or something similar."

ooc;; He's about nine moons, but he acts a little younger than he really is because he's more of a timid type.
bic;; "Oh." Batkit didn't say anything else since he didn't really understand most of Woodstripe's speech. He hesitated before changing the subject. "So are we going to send out some messengers?"
