The Earth is rotating into a warmer time of year. For the cats, this does not mean a decrease in problems, only different types of problems - heat stroke and droughts among them. The higher temperatures should cause tempers to shorten and disputes to heat up. If your characters know of any water sources and have the ability to claim them as their territory, may they guard them well.
