How come Erin Hunter's cats always HAVE to be back in camp by sunset? They always say, "Oh, it's getting dark," but can't cats see in the dark?

Yes, cats can see in the dark.
I don't know what the deal is. Maybe it's just because of the Erins' lack of skill.
