As some of you know, not too long ago, in the c-box, I asked why "-flower" isn't to be used. And I didn't get very satisfying answers, unfortunately. So, here's my reasoning: If cats were to know of the old Clan, then perhaps they would know what the old territory was like as well. Nothing specific but maybe they would know about a few plants or so; including flowers. I understand that the setting is in the desert but there are a few flowers there, right? Like the ones that are on cactus and stuff. Cx If enough cats believed that there once was flowers in the desert, then it wouldn't be just a theory/opinion to them, would it? And I have more stuff to say, I just don't have the time to type it all up right now. Sooo, how does that all sound? o.o

"And I didn't get very satisfying answers, unfortunately." --x Sorry.
"Nothing specific but maybe they would know about a few plants or so; including flowers." --x There would be myths of plants, yes.
"I understand that the setting is in the desert but there are a few flowers there, right? Like the ones that are on cactus and stuff." --x On cactus, yes, I suppose so. I can't think of any other flowering desert plants at the moment, though.
"it wouldn't be just a theory/opinion to them, would it?" --x Of course it would. Other cats disagree, so it's an opinion. They can't go out and check, so it's a theory. In addition to that, they don't see flowers every day, so even if they believed they existed, they're not something they'd be familiar with.
"And I have more stuff to say" --x Then say it. When you have time, of course.

"Sorry."
No need.
"There would be myths of plants, yes."
That's what I thought.
"Other cats disagree,"
.....so? If a cat feels that it is more than just an opinion, they have the right to name their kit after it, I would think.
"so even if they believed they existed, they're not something they'd be familiar with."
Again, so? They don't have to be extremely familiar with something to name another thing after it, do they? Just knowing some stuff about it would be enough, right?
"Then say it."
What if I were to say I forgot it?

I thought we were talking about the flower "suffix". *points at topic* Suffix is the last part =S

Mph. Well, the cats name new warriors after certain things, stuff that they're sure of (fur, claw, heart). Besides, even if they were certain of flowers, being known as "flowery" could be considered a bad thing here.
Kinda like those CEOs with the big salaries and lavish spending during the economic crisis.

Ah, I see. When you said "they have the right to name their kit after it" I thought you meant the original naming of the kit, which would be the prefix.

Even if there were myths of flowers, how would they know what a flower was like?
