As usual, I'd like member input on something.
You might have noticed that some forums have some sort of monetary unit. I asked for and received the code for this but am hesitant about the particulars of how I would apply it.
So I turn to the people.

What would members buy and sell?
Graphics? Or perhaps some special attributes for their cats?
If so, what would those be?

Also, what would the name of our monetary unit be?
I was thinking something along the lines of stones, bricks, or lizard-tails.

I'd say graphics, but I don't know about special attributes. I mean, what do you mean when you say 'special attributes'?

Not otherworldly powers, I'm guessing.

Oh, and I like the sound of Lizard-Tails. The shorthand could be LT. "Selling custom graphics, 3 LT for each!"

No, that would get confusing.
I could award them to anyone who makes some sort of contribution to the site. For example, advertizing or creating a new skin.

^ That's an idea, but perhaps for a character to be /especially/ good, otherwise we might have a bunch of skill-less cats running around. xP

Yes, that's what I meant.
Although then there'd have to be a limit or something, as we couldn't have supa-powafulz cats running around either.

Well, I'm just worried that the focus of the forum would shift from roleplaying to getting LTs.
but then again, I've never been on a roleplaying forum with cash, so I don't know. :3

Then again, I'll lay the idea aside until someone has some good suggestions for how to use it.

I doubt the skill thing would work out properly - it seems too much like game stats to me. D: It would be better, would it not, for cats to develop hunting/fighting experience within the roleplay itself? (By the way, I'm also wondering about the cats-in-more-than-one-different-board-at-the-same-time thing. Would two cats who've already met meet as strangers in a newer thread or acknowledge each other? They don't seem to be recognising cats they have met in other threads) As for the monetarial unit of Lizard-Tails, I think that sounds cool. |3

Also, I'd like to make a few skins for Starless but my skills VS this current layout = Darky fails at making skins.
