I was just wondering if it'd be a good idea to have it, since we're going to have a bunch of in-progress cats as we start up again, and people might want to try them out while they work on them to be accepted, as it can take a while.
Also, it might help us work out new plot ideas.

You know, this sounds like a good and plausible idea, but I worry about whether or not it might seem sort of confusing. It's also likely that we might run too far with things and have it sort of integrate with the actual roleplay, which I'm assuming we don't want.
I'm up for toying around with the idea though. Maybe we could have the in-progress cats interact with a character created specifically for the pre-roleplaying.

I have the same concern. Restricting it to processing characters, though, and not intermingling with accepted characters until they're ready... might solve that problem.
Anyway, it does sound like an effective means to get new scribes involved as they figure out how to work the process (which, as Cloud points out, can be time-consuming). As long as it doesn't get out of hand, and if anyone with a processing cat is interested, I can make this happen.

I'm all late on this, but I used to be on a site where the in-progress characters would post on a board specifically made for where they entered a land. I know that here there is no real "entering" here, but if you had a specific sight where only the new, in-progress charries go, it helps people get pass the "getting into character" posts that seem to plague some people.

-nod nod- Right. Sounds like it's not just FoF's idea.
So, this makes another supporter for it. Your cat just got accepted, though, Irae, so you have no need for one of these boards anymore; you have free range (like an organic chicken! -shot-). Anybody reading this who has a processing cat should post and let us know if you'd use this feature.
Orrr I can just make one and people will use it if they want to.
