Snow is amazing. I love snow. Snow is the best thing since sliced bread. You can pack it to be rock-hard and throw it at your ten-year-old neighbor and pretend your having a 'friendly snowball fight'. You can walk around and see your footprints. You can eat it and try to make a lemon-juice snowcone with it (though it isn't yummy).
...But it is cold. And you feel miserable when your socks and shoes get soaking wet, and then your feet, and then the rest of you. And it makes the roads slick, which means cars like trucks can't stop on the road. A truck hit my friend, Meghan, today. Not, like, a friggin 18-wheeler, but like a GMC truck.

You wanna know the stupidest thing? She was hit while she was walking/driving to school, like we all were forced to do today. Yeah, they made us go to school while the snow was covering up the roads, only to release us at 11:00. Meghan's gonna be fine, but it's just sort of ironic.

Awwww, I'm sorry. I'd hug you. I'd hug everyone except for my cats cuz they had snow on them. Which would make me cold.

Y'know, this is only my third time seeing snow my whole life! First in Colorado when I went skiing, next at our house in Texas, and now Louisiana. IT'S FOLLOWING ME SOUTH. 8DDD
Next, I should try Mexico!

But it was hilarious when I came to school today. Like, everybody was having a snowball fight in the parking lot. Then when the bell rung to go to class, some people just went back home. When I was walking to P.E, the snow tried to take me out, starting with my eyes.
Me: "Oh. There's a snowflake on my face. Haha!" -wipes it off-
"...."
"Now there's three! And now I can't see! Hahahaha-"
and then I ran into a pole.

I'm so proud of myself for accomplishing so much.

Last night, it snowed in Texas.

So of course my school chose the day with freezing weather to have a fire drill. I had a thin jacket and the silly people in my Health class wouldn't hug me. "

Aww. We got snow the night before last, and we had a fire drill today too! Perhaps all the school boards in Texas got together and said, "Okay, it snowed last night, or the night before, depending on where you are, so let's have a fire drill so our students will freeze. And quick, before the weather is warm again!"

It was funny, because we were going to go to the library to work on our I-searches (research project for language arts), and we were all lined up and anything, and then this voice came on the intercom saying, "We are going to have a fire drill.." and what not, and some of the boys were cheering. I didn't even have a jacket on, but luckily my friend and I were able to hug xD

Another thing that was hilarious today happened, also during language arts. We were doing our warm-ups, and this huge noise comes from somewhere (it sounded like one of the corners of the room) and it kinda sounds like a foghorn, and my L.A. teacher goes out in the hallway and asks the nearby teachers if they know what it is, and they don't, and she comes back and a bunch of people are saying, "Ewww, nasty, (insert name of member of class here)!" And my L.A. teacher tells us to be quiet, and she calls the office and she says something like this:
"Hello, there is a strange noise that we (everyone in our area) are hearing and we don't know anything about it. It is very loud and is disrupting our students.." and we are all sniggering because what she is saying sounds so silly. Anyways, it turns out it was a plumber fixing the upstairs water fountain. :3

I was born in Texas. We moved to Louisiana and lived there for 8 years. We moved to Mississippi in my grandmother's house while my parents looked for an apartment in Texas. We moved to an apartment in Texas (where it sleeted), and then we moved to an actual house in Texas, where it snowed. And then we moved back here, like, three years ago...?
