In a way I don't agree with Ten, because my parents don't try to influence me to believe what they do. /spazz Draco, I'd love to analyze all that and talk about you, but since the focus of this thread is trying to get Selm closer to role playing Lividwhisker, I'm going to have to disregard your own experiences as examples and talk more about how the cats live. But what I need y'all to understand is that opinions and beliefs don't just fashion themselves from thin air. They're not random. They're not the luck of the draw. You have to get them from somewhere. Tabula rasa and all that. Since the enclosure doesn't have TV or public schools or the internet, kits are going to be spending a lot of their time with their parents/guardians and whoever their parents/guardians allow them to talk to (like friends of the family). Unless, for some reason you'll have to suggest to me, they're raised in some way different from this, then any ideas those kits get, they'll have to get from their parents/guardians/friends of the family. How they're raised will determine their views. Capiche?

I'd rather you not talk about me. o3o;;
And I was just throwing that out there. I really didn't mean that the cat would have watched TV or would have talked to someone else about it or the opinions appeared out of no where, I was just giving another look on it. I personally find most of my opinions are based closer to my personality than what my parents have told me. But then again I have a weird life, so I'm just going to shut up.

"I'd rather you not talk about me." --x
Then don't post talking about yourself, silly goose.
And I was pointing out that in our modern lives, we have many more outside influences than enclosure kits would have.

Quick input here:
I agree with Ten, not only because (as she's stated) no matter how open parents may be to their offspring, they still teach them things. Sometimes kids don't realize they're being taught - I am certain that we've all picked up things without realizing it. The way you think of someone, no matter who they are? Your parents must have taught you something - even if it was only how they acted, if you had nothing else to base from, you would've absorbed it.
I could go on, but I think I've made my point. >.>
