"Maybe stones outlining with any feathers they found on the ground." -- Been reading that feather discussion in the ideas board, eh? I'm not convinced they'd be all too common. As for stones, any movable ones would've been used for the wall, and the stone they walk on isn't like pebbles or cobblestones; it's these big... platelet... things... that are sunk into the ground. Simple concept that's somehow hard for me to describe. x) I do know what I mean, though. I base a lot of the Starless desert on my experiences west of the Pecos. "Would they have access to bracken or a material like that?" -- If you mean this, then no. Ferns need a lot of water. "I'll change it to Mudkit [Mudkip lol]" -- I like Mudkits. :3 I had a Mudface once. He was amusing. "Just insticts I guess." -- Instinct doesn't allow a kitten to be able to kill a bigger, older, and stronger cat. "Any other suffix suggestions?" -- Sure."All she remembers were the screams. The blood. The rats. There were so many. A surprise attack." -- Rats suprise-attacked a couple of a cats? Why would they do that?

Instinct doesn't allow a kitten to be able to kill a bigger, older, and stronger cat. -- What if she had been watching battle training or something?? Sure.-- Gingerstorm? Gingerclaw? I have no idea Rats suprise-attacked a couple of a cats? Why would they do that? -- Maybe for getting back at the cats for killing their kind?

"So what would a nest be made of?" -- There wouldn't be any "nest"s, that I can figure. However, the stream is a nice place for a mother and her kits to be. It's the newest board/area, and one of the reasons I set it up was for a kitbirthing location, but it seems likely that mothers would want to stick to that place while their kittens grow. Oh! Speaking of which, if Speckledpaw's kits are so much older, how did she still have milk?
"What if she had been watching battle training or something?" -- Does watching a karate movie enable to you kill Jeff Hardy with your bare hands?
"Gingerstorm? Gingerclaw?" -- Those are both fine names. So do you want a name that demonstrates her prowess with her claws, or a name that emphasizes a stormy personality? Or do you have something else in mind altogether?
"Maybe for getting back at the cats for killing their kind?" -- Dude. They're just rats. o.o They don't try to get back at predators unless said predators are trying to kill them at that very moment.

"Does watching a karate movie enable to you kill Jeff Hardy with your bare hands?" -- Lol. I guess not. What should I do to cause conflict between Gingerkit and Speckledpaw?
"Those are both fine names. So do you want a name that demonstrates her prowess with her claws, or a name that emphasizes a stormy personality? Or do you have something else in mind altogether?" -- I want somthing that describes her fierceness.
"Dude. They're just rats. o.o They don't try to get back at predators unless said predators are trying to kill them at that very moment." -- So should I have them die of a regular rat bite?

"They were around half a season old." -- I'm thinking her milk would be gone.
"What should I do to cause conflict between Gingerkit and Speckledpaw?" -- It's your bio. I can't come up with everything for you. I know that sounds like I'm backing out when I should be helping you, but really, even with help in mechanics, you need to be the one writing your character's pasts. There are loads of ways for a mother and a daughter to have conflict, so think about just what kind of thing you're going for here. If you can describe what you're looking for really well but still can't get an idea, then I might be able to brainstorm with you, but right now, a way to cause conflict is too broad and unspecific for me.
"I want somthing that describes her fierceness." -- They'd both be pretty good. Is her fierceness in precise, lethal skill? Or is she fierce in her violence, vehemence, and passion?
"So should I have them die of a regular rat bite?" -- Why are you so determined to kill them off?

"I'm thinking her milk would be gone." -- Man. I was just about to say, "She ate some dock leaves." But NOOOOOO. No herbs in the desert enclosure. XD That sounds like something you'd visit in the zoo. I'll make her older and weaned before she's orphaned.

I'm still warming up to this roleplaying cats business, so I might need a little help. I want something to happen that demonstrates her fierceness. Maybe injuring one of the kits permanently or something like that.
"They'd both be pretty good. Is her fierceness in precise, lethal skill? Or is she fierce in her violence, vehemence, and passion?" -- Would that be Gingerstorm?
"Why are you so determined to kill them off?" -- Out of context, that looked funny. X) I don't want to create so many NPC's around here.

"That sounds like something you'd visit in the zoo." -- xD It does. Starless is a zoo of its own. ;3
"I want something to happen that demonstrates her fierceness." -- To do that, you have to look at what made her fierce in the first place. Taunting siblings can make a cat irritable and resentful, but fierceness is a little something different. It doesn't look like she would be able to do anything to them if they were bigger and stronger than her, but if she suppressed her emotions and took it from them, perhaps she could unleash it on others instead? Pick up the habit of picking on anyone smaller and weaker than herself? In fact, I think that's how you get your typical schoolyard bully: older kids (or even adults) mock and beat him, so he mocks and beats those who are younger/smaller. ehhh, am I making sense? Bullying isn't really fierceness either... >.e If she directs her bottled anger toward prey when she hunts, her mentor could view that as fierceness.
"Would that be Gingerstorm?" -- Gingerstorm would mean she's stormy, yes.
"I don't want to create so many NPC's around here." -- Create a boatload. It doesn't affect anyone else. Besides, you've already got all those NPCs in her adoptive family. ...and now her new mentor? /hasn't reread the bio to meet him yet

Something to make her mad enough to kick her out. Maybe Snaketooth (her mentor-to-be) could be punishing Shadekit for bullying Gingerkit, while she stands around and watches. Because of the fact that she did nothing to help her 'sister' and Shadekit ended up with a broken leg/arm, Gingerkit would get kicked out.
What'd ya think?
"Gingerstorm would mean she's stormy, yes." -- Changed her name!

The porcupine avatar. =D
"I want something to happen to Shadekit, Speckledpaw's kit." -- So you have out for that one too, eh?
"Something to make her mad enough to kick her out." -- It's natural for children to leave their parents; she can get fed up and leave on her own when she's able. The world doesn't have to be against her for her to be against the world.

Speckledpaw punished Gingerkit for Snaketooth breaking Shadekit's leg?
Wait, why did you put "sister" in little quotes like that?
