OOC: Akthp. Sorry, people. I had a surprise babysitting job yesterday, as well as my jazz concert and buying a new video game. Having a life. YES I HAVE ONE. >| And I just skip to after she's had the kits, right?
BIC: Pain and suffering. Too much. All for these four little pieces of fur and mouths on the sand. Maybe she really did need to change her life. But it was her life - what she did, who she was. It was all the joy she had. Politics was too much work - and survival was hard enough.
But maybe...maybe her suffering would be less if there were a Clan. True, she wasn't much for responsibility and the toms might be harder to get at...but it would make things like this easier.
Maybe she should go beg Shortwhisker to help her be a Clanner and join the Experiment.

ooc| It was just one day though, so's okay. Naming time~
bic|
The runt of the litter, a gray male, could not hear his own shrill squeals. His ears were folded closed and as useless as his sealed eyes, leaving his nose as his sole guide -- he could smell his mother, his sisters, and his brother. Mewling at them all, he made some weak efforts at movement, seeking a place to nurse.

OOC: Okay, so...Hailpaw will name them all in this post. And then I'll do a bit as Stonekit.
BIC: Finally she regained the strength to actually focus on her sons and daughters. Her sons were both gray...one solid like her and one gray tabby. Her daughters were black and white and brown tabby...almost perfect copies of their fathers. But no daughter of hers would be like Grimykit, she thought and spat in her mind. Shortwhisker, maybe, though...he'd been horrified at her when he'd discovered she was a con. Yet he was so much nicer than Grimykit...a better father to her children, definitely. Yes, she must seek him out...or get someone else to.
And now for names for her kits...the one that looked like her shared her petite size...he was unusually small, tiny even...Tinykit, that would be his name. And the brown one's pelt reminded her of the buzzing insects who sometimes came in such swarms...Locustkit. The black and white one looked like night blotched on hail...Blotchkit. And the gray tabby, the biggest one...his pelt, darker and lighter gray and a little white, reminded her of the sharp surfaces of the stones in the wall. Stonekit. "Yer all named now, kittens." She murmured. Though they could not hear, it gave her a strange comfort to say it.
Stonekit
A little gray tom, though bigger than all his siblings, nuzzled his mother's belly blindly and without hearing the mews of his brother and sisters around him. He knew them only by their smell and their fur, still a bit wet, pressed against his. He was the first to nurse and fed hungrily.

One of Hailpaw's daughters was Grimykit's spitting image, except that she was small, damp, and her ears and eyes were shut. She was at the back of the litter, but after some wriggling, she squirmed her way close to her mother's soft belly. Her hungry mewls were quickly stifled once she had found a comfortable spot to nurse, right beside her newly-named brother Stonekit.

The newly-named she-kit squirmed towards Hailpaw's stomach, eager to nurse. She wasn't big, yet she wasn't as small as one of her brothers. She was black-and-white, like her father, Shortwhisker, although her spots were placed differently. Soon she found a place near her sister, the only other she-cat in the litter, and found a place to nurse.
(xD that was fail. sorry. xD)

ooc| Just so they're old enough to see, hear, waddle, and talk (with a very small vocabulary -- they don't know much and should be very gullible).
ooo, what if Greykit and Whitekit came along?

ooc: i thought about whitekit and greykit coming along, too. they could. x3 and if nightbreeze comes and says stuff 'bout clanhood, they'll try and persuade the kits that it sounds stupid. they'll probably fail, though.
