Okay. These are some of the new names from Omen of the Stars:
Foxleap (I'm picturing a cat constantly being launched from a catapult by a fox)
Icecloud (-cloud is a stupid suffix. And cloud of ice? Well that's contradictory.)
Toadstep (the name is fine, but the cat is black and white. Toads are not black and white.)
Rosepetal (Just no.)
"Ivykit (white tabby she-cat)" (This is just stupid. She's a silver tabby, as we see from the cover of Fading Echoes. Just call it what it is, Erins, instead of making it sound stupid.)
Schorchfur (because kits are totally burned at birth.)
Redwillow (This cat is mottled ginger and brown. Willows are GRAY, stupid Erins.)
Kestrelflight (Flighty medicine cat, eh?)
Whiskerpaw (Yes, my kit totally looks like a freaking WHISKER.)
Sunstrike (KA-BOOM!)
Hollowpaw (Oh look, my kit is a storage container.)
Mossypaw (Is no doubt green, fuzzy, and grew on a rock or tree.)
Grasspelt (Is no doubt green and pointy.)
Briarlight (This cat is DARK brown. That sounds stupid.)
Blossomfall (Just no.)
Bumbleflight (Is no doubt a drunk bee.)

When the official names start to become as bad as the fan-names, you know you have a problem.
'Nuff said.

I first thought Blossomfall was Blossomfail and I LOL'D. Then I realized it was Blossomfall and I died.
Briarkit was the only one with the potential to have a good name. That was ruined. Foxstep would sound better than Foxleap, but I'm a little more lenient when it comes to suffixes, because Foxpaw could've been a really good jumper.

True, but...still. What does Ten think, I wonder?

hm? What do I think? I'm wondering what this supposed "mottled ginger and brown" cat looks like.

It might actually be possible...I doubt it, but maybe.

A brown tortoiseshell maybe? If there is such a thing.

I have a diluted calico. She's gray, peachy-cream, and white. I'm not sure about the black patches being brown, but here's an example of a mutation where the orange/red patches are white. That's more feasible, though, because of the nature of genetics for white fur. Plain brown fur (no stripes) is much harder to get, and while you can have white markings, the only kind of brown markings you can have are tabby stripes.

It won't let me see the picture, Ten. All I get is this warning thing.
