Roleplayer| Gosh
---
Name| Bronzefoot
Gender| Tom
Physical Description| Bronzefoot is a fairly average size cat for his age. He is a tabby with mostly dull brown fur in different shades and he has yellow eyes. He can both hunt and fight but he is often too impatient to hunt crickets and the like.
Views| Bronzefoot does not think that the Clan should stay together and he definitely does not want a leader, because he is tired of other cats bossing him around. He doesn't trust anyone and doesn't think that any good would come out of having a Clan.
Kin| Mother: Silvertail, Father: Largeclaw, Brother: Brownclaw; all deceased
History| Brownkit and Bronzekit looked almost exactly alike; only their mother could tell them apart. They were very close and the family was closely intertwined with each other. There was peace. (For clarification, Bronzekit is the one who lived in the end and who this topic is about)
Soon after the siblings got their 'paw' suffixes, Silvertail was bitten by a rat while the whole family was out hunting and died. This unbalanced the peace in the family, Largeclaw grew depressed, and the family grew hungry.
Then one day Bronzepaw shouted, tired of being hungry and annoyed at his father's unwillingness to do or talk about anything, "Mother would not want us to lie around starving because we were depressed! Just because she is gone does not mean that we can not live." Brownpaw voiced his agreement shyly, and the next day Largeclaw was out hunting like usual. But the loss of Silvertail and his son's shouting at him had driven him to his limits. He was always grumpy, many times taking his anger out on Brownpaw and Bronzepaw. He worked them hard, training the two of them and it was soon clear that Brownpaw was stronger than Bronzepaw. Largeclaw proceeded to drive Bronzepaw harder and train him until he cried out in pain. While Bronzepaw and Brownpaw were sleeping, Largeclaw would often cry out to Silvertail and mumble random things, and, unknown to his sons, he gained a reputation as 'that dangerous cat'.
One day Bronzepaw protested, tired of the long hours of work and wishing to achieve his warrior name, "Father, you have said there is nothing more you can teach me and Brownpaw. I beg of you, give us our warrior names and leave us in peace!" Brownpaw nodded mutely.
Largeclaw scowled dangerously at his sons but finally meowed, "All right. We will go on a rat hunt right now, and if you two do well, I shall give you your warrior names and leave you to fend on your own."
So the three went out on a rat hunt, but, after having successfully killed one rat, Largeclaw goaded out another, crying to his sons insanely, "Silvertail is here! We have more cats to fight with, more rats to hunt!" He lured out more, continuing to ramble about Silvertail. And soon Largeclaw, Bronzepaw, and Brownpaw were outnumbered. Bronzepaw cried, "We must run!" But Largeclaw thundered, "No! Stay!" Brownpaw whimpered and stayed, but Bronzepaw scowled and ran away, until he was exhausted and collapsed. He slept for an hour. When he woke, he wearily returned to the scene of the fight. To his dismay, he found his father and brother dying.
Largeclaw, once he noticed Bronzepaw, gave him a murderous glare and coughed once. Then he shouted, "You abandoned us!" and cats turned, if only for a moment. "I refuse to give you your warrior name, for you abandoned us in our time of need! And Brownpaw shall be Brownclaw, because he actually used his claws to defend us, while you ran." His father coughed once more and fell still. The un-named Bronzepaw whimpered.
Brownclaw coughed, attracting his brother's attention. "Brother," he whispered. "Father is unfair. You defied Father and ran away, showing common sense and you followed your heart, unlike me. You are the one who truly deserves a warrior name, and I will give it to you since Father refuses-Bronzefoot." With this said Brownclaw fell silent, too.
Bronzefoot was hardened by his father and brother's deaths. He participated in many rat hunts and met many other cats, most of whom were not nice at all. They often abandoned other cats during the rat hunts, just as Bronzefoot had done. This led Bronzefoot to the conclusion that there were very few trustworthy cats in this dark world and he believes that his brother was one of the few exceptions to that rule.
