Orangestorm was feeling very grumpy. He had been looking for cats in the Experiment after trying to find cats in the Rebellion and failing. Now he was just wandering aimlessly and starting to feel a little hungry.
Spotting Patchfur a little far off, talking to a nameless she-cat, he came up and greeted him gruffly. "'ow's the Experiment been going? I 'aven't been able to find anyone."

Patchfur sighed, not really wanting to be reminded of the Experiment right now. "Not very well for me," he replied. "Woodstripe wants me to recognize Spiderstripe and Redstream as my temporary leaders, so I guess if I want to stay in I have to do everythign they say," he meowed sullenly. "I'm only doing this to get experience living under a leader so I understand just how bad it is.

Oh, good, another tom. "Hey there, big orange boy," she said, batting her eyelashes at him. She wondered how he would respond to her advances: like the dirty tabby, or like Patchfur?

Orangestorm cast a bored side-glance at the she-cat. She chose her words interestingly. "'i, do I know you?" he asked rather gruffly, still having not picked up her motives.
Turning back to Patchfur, he said, "Are you really that un'appy with the 'ole thing at the moment? It should be your choice, shouldn't it, if you wanted to recognise authority? Why do you set so much store by Woodstripe's words any'ow?"

She was bit annoyed by the way he seemed more interested in the ginger and white tom, but oh well. Then she grinned, golden eyes wide. She leaned toward him, whispering, "Nah, but ya could kno' mah real well if ya wan'ed ta."

As she leaned in, Orangestorm caught a strong whiff of the several scents on the she-cat - the strongest of which being the smell of other toms. He raised an eyebrow disinterestedly, and quickly examined the cat further.
She hadn't really groomed herself down, it seemed, so she probably didn't care one bit. The scents on her were rather powerful, so it was likely she'd enjoyed herself not long ago and was the sort of she-cat who simply couldn't get enough.
Orangestorm hadn't gotten much opportunity to fool around lately, but at the moment he just wasn't in the mood and frankly, he was quite worried about what other sort of toms would have mated with such a cat. She had little dignity and it was likely that most toms would treat her the way she treated them, which he did not find attractive.
"No thanks," he said in his usual gruff tone, being sure to inject a bit of ice into his words as he spoke. "I'm 'avin' a conversation at the moment, at any rate."
