Role player| Cloud (or any variation of that)
_____
Name| Hailpaw
Gender| she-cat
Physical Description| Hailpaw is a small, very pale gray she-cat with golden eyes.
Views| This con has one strong reason for being a con: toms. She figures the objects of her desire would be harder to - let's say, get at - if they were all grouped together in a Clan and made to work on a regular routine. And what if there's a rule that she's only supposed to have one mate? That would be just tragic.
And what about all those patrols and stuff? If she had to do them, they'd probably cut back on the time she could be with toms. Also, what if the leader ordered her to stop what she loves doing? She would hate that. So, Hailpaw definitely doesn't want a Clan. She wouldn't want to feel like she was being watched while she was doing her activity of preference, or else she would feel irritated and think the cat who was watching wanted a turn.
Kin| Brown-nose-mother-deceased
Stoneclaw-father-alive
History| Hailkit was born to a mother who had never meant to have her. Brown-nose used to be an immoral and rakish cat, taking up with any and all toms she came across -- until she got pregnant. That's when the focus of her life changed from pleasure to caring for her kit, without any help from Stoneclaw. In her selfless devotion to her first litter, her view of the world changed, and she vowed she would never allow her daughter Hailkit, named for her pale gray fur, to make the same mistakes.
Brown-nose disliked some of the extra work of having to look after a kit but liked the advantage of having a cat who would be loyal to her when she grew up. She wanted cats to see how well she could train her daughter to be powerful so she could be famous by association with her and claim credit for her success.
The brown tabby didn't even bother seeking Stoneclaw's help - he was probably off with another she-cat by now.
When her mother judged her ready, she switched to a -paw suffix and began her training. Brown-nose pushed her daughter hard, having no mercy when she taught her to fight and always making scathing remarks when she missed a piece of prey. Hailpaw strove hard to please her mother, but she never seemed to manage it.
Despite -- or because of -- rigid rules, harsh training, and strict orders to never talk to a tom or have a mate, Hailpaw began to resent her mother and all the pressure she put on her, feeling lonely and unloved. It was not long before Hailpaw discovered the truth about her mother's past, making Brown-nose not only a tyrant but a bleeding hypocrite!
Her rebellious spirit flared and she began flirting with strangers to spite her mother and get sweet revenge, escalating her lewdness and promiscuity until she was just the sort of she-cat her mother had once been.
Eventually, Brown-nose died of sickness while she was training Hailpaw. Hailpaw mourned her mother, but was pleased to be free on her own. There was no cat, no cat at all who get in the way of her desires.
