Cloud and I were talking about this on the c-box and neither of us could figure it out, sooo Ten needs to anwser. :3
Would the Enclosure cats know that the old RiverClan leader and deputy sealed them in or would they not? I can understand why they wouldn't as be sealed in most definetely scared them all straight and perhaps they didn't notcie. However eventually don't you think they'd realize both their deputy and leader were gone and they would assume the worst?

Answered this in the cbox already, but here's a longer answer:
When the leader or deputy (doesn't matter which one it was; that can be left ambiguous) gave the order for everyone to get inside the enclosure, and after the Clan did so, they all looked up towards their authorities to see what they would do, awaiting further instructions. All the cats inside (okay, not kits) watched as the secret lovers sealed their fate by sealing the enclosure. Cries of confusion and outrage would have broken out, so maybe the din would have blotted out any final statement from the leader or deputy, and the Clan would have to piece together the reason later based on suspicious actions during construction that before then they wouldn't have questioned, or maybe the Clan would have held out enough respect to listen to them before they figured out what was going on. Either way, it would become clear that the leader and deputy had come to care about each other more than the Clan and saw trapping and escaping the Clan as the only way to remain mates.
As for modern-day cats, how much information about this they know varies by the individual and the interest they take in Clan history.
