Woodstripe nodded. "You're right, that's an excellent choice. The older one poses the smallest threat. I approve." She gave Blackfur a brief smile.
Frozenheart bumped her shoulder with his head, rubbing against her and forcing her to take a couple of steps sideways.
"I think he wants us to get going," she chuckled, hiding her annoyance and regaining her balance. "Everyone ready? Let's head out."
Brother and sister lowered themselves in a crouch. They crept toward the eldest rat, muscles tensed and ready to spring as wariness filled the rodent's eyes.
ooc| Shall I play as the rats or do one of y'all want to?

The way Woodstripe said "I approve" made her sound like the leader. Blackfur thought, if they ever had a leader again, Woodstipe would be a good choice. But she pushed the thought aside and said, "Ready."
Blackfur crouched and crept towards the old rat along with Woodstripe and Frozenheart, catching the caution flickering in the roden't eyes. She gathered her strength, preparing to pounce.
ooc; You can do it, Ten.

Woodstripe and Frozenheart circled around behind the rat. The white tom was calm and focused, movements slow and steady. The tabby failed at disguising her nervousness. Her green eyes flickered to the other cats, making sure they were in their places. Her chest rose and fell in rapid breaths. Still, she tried to mimic her brother's composure.
The rat knew what they were doing; there were no stones or shrubs to hide them. Its beady eyes moved across each feline as if judging them. As the siblings crept closer from behind, the rat dashed for the hole in the circle - to the left of Blackfur.

Blackfur saw the rat darting for the gap next to her. She sidestepped, attempting to block it. "Someone get it!" she called.

ooc| What do I mean "I sent you a pm" or regarding what I said in the pm? If you haven't found it, it's a link at the top of the page saying you have a message. Your last rp response was powerplaying; it's not that easy to kill a rat.

Frozenheart hesitated. His muscles locked under his white pelt, blue eyes unfocusing as memories assaulted his perception.
By the time he regained sight of their prey, his sister was ahead of him. Woodstripe, with the quicker reaction, was running after the fleeing rat. "Tawnyfur, now!" she meowed. She managed to take a swipe at the rat's backside but that didn't slow it down.
The old rodent was aware of the tabby and the black she-cat and swerved away from them. However, he wasn't able to keep track of all of them at once. His swerve led him toward Tawnyfur.
The white tom bolted after the rat, and having stronger and quicker limbs than his sister, he came within a couple tail-lengths of it, causing the rat to begin a quick pivot. For a few seconds the rat was close enough for Tawnyfur to attack it. However, it would soon be out of reach for all.

After Blackfur blocked its path, the rat swerved directly in reach of Tawnyfur's grasp. Woodstripe aimed a successful blow at its back and Frozenheart left the rat scampering in his wake. The she-cat sprang for the throat.
