Role player|Cloud or Cloudie
Name| Darkfur
Gender| tom
Physical Description|
Darkfur is a long-limbed, muscular cat with an average-length body and a long tail. His stripes are long and thin all over his body. Short, dark brown and beige fur covers him and tufts slightly on the edges of his face. He has yellow-green eyes and long, dark whiskers.
Views| Darkfur, if you asked him, would tell you proudly - and condescendingly, if you were a Clanner - that he in no way supports or ever will support the idea of a Clan, and thinks anyone who does support it is a deluded fool. He believes that more trouble will caused if cats try to make themselves into one large group instead of just having families take care of each other. Corruption, death, and greed among cats who wanted power would just leave them even more worse off.
After all, the whole idea of a Clan was what got them trapped here in the first place, the blind obedience. He tries not to think about being trapped in the enclosure too much, fearing he'll go insane if he does so. But who knows, perhaps the outside world is even worse. And a LEADER? Bad idea in Darkfur's book. Things would go seriously wrong if one cat were to set themselves above the rest; every cat would be forced to follow them, and protesters would be punished, he thinks.
There should only be familial leaders and leaders of territories, which he thinks the enclosure should be divided into, so every cat could have a fair shot at a decent amount of food.

History| Darkfur and his sister were born in a part of the enclosure that his father and a few other cats were feuding over for the prey that lived was in that area, as Nightnose wanted it all for himself and his family, and he, Browntail and Whitefoot would viciously chase off any other cat they found there. His mother named him for his mostly dark brown pelt. His kithood was unstable; sometimes Nightnose would be able to claim a certain amount of territory to feed his family for a while, sometimes Darkfur's father was beat up and restricted to a small corner and a few rocks. Dark-kit, as he was then, quickly became used to changing location every few weeks, or sometimes even three times a day.
When he reached about six moons, his father (with the help of a few allies) managed to obtain a patch of territory big enough to feed Nightnose, Browntail, Whitefoot, and Browntail's kits. The group of cats mainly stuck to their own territory if they had it, but weren't above swiping a piece of prey from others' patches if they could. Protesters of the cats' claim to all of the territory sometimes came to fight, but the combined force of Darkfur's parents and uncle were often able to drive them out. When they couldn't, the family chose to try and steal or hunt in other places. He and his sister had their names switched to a paw suffix when their mother thought they were ready to be apprentices.
Whitefoot, who stuck with his sister and her mate for protection, mentored Darkfur. Darkfur's parents and uncle were cons, and they all taught him and his sister about that way of life. It made sense to Darkfur,
When he was around eleven moons old or so, Whitefoot gave him his warrior name. A little while after he got his name, he began to feel the want to break free of his family and make his own way in life. So, he left. Browntail let him go, and Pebblestripe (who got her name around the same time he did) also left, a little later than he did, and is still alive. Whitefoot died a while later, killed by wounds from fighting a cat who'd tried to steal a lizard he caught. Darkfur has no set piece of territory; sometimes, like his father, he will claim a patch for a while, but is eventually overpowered by competitors and then moves on.
