Name| Blackfoot
Gender| She-cat
Physical Description| She has sleek black fur, with a small patch of white on her chest, that she is constantly cleaning. Her eyes are a grayish-green. She is of medium-large build and is quite weak strength-wise. Her gait is graceful and dainty, and she is very light on her feet.
Views| Blackfoot most definitely wants a Clan. She feels that a leader is necessary to guide them away from theft and violence, and that everything will run more smoothly when it is all organized and planned. She also feels that kits and elders would have a better life in a Clan; they would be very unlikely to survive alone.
Although Blackfoot wants a leader, she does not think she would make a good one. She is fairly submissive and mild-mannered, and would be too overwhelmed with responsibility. She feels that she would play a better role as a follower.
Kin| Mother and father (deceased), Rabbitstep (foster mother; deceased), Thornclaw (brother; deceased), Russetfur (mate; deceased), Tawnytail (daughter; deceased), Nightheart (son; deceased), Barkpaw (nephew)
History| Blackfoot, who was then Black-kit, and her brother Thornkit never knew their parents. They only suckled once before their parents died of thirst. Then, a passing she-cat, Rabbitstep, saw them and the still corpses of their parents and knew they had become orphans. So, she decided to take them in as foster kits, since she still had lots of milk from her own stillborn kits.
Black-kit and Thornkit never received their apprentice names, since Rabbitstep was too weak from sickness to mentor them and she had no other relatives to do so. So the two taught themselves to fight, Rabbitstep occasionally guiding their way. However, since they needed more help with hunting, she managed to show them how. Soon after they had gotten the hang of these skills, she gave them their warrior names: Blackfoot and Thornclaw. Afterwards, however, Rabbitstep's illness worsened and she died in the night.
Months passed, and Blackfoot was living well. She was able to feed herself, had held a small territory for her and her brother, and lived as comfortably as one could in the edifice. Then, she met Russetfur. He was a handsome ginger tabby, with a soothing glow in his deep aqua-blue eyes. She immediately developed affections for him, which grew every time they saw each other again. Then, he confessed his own feelings, which were the same as hers. So, they decided to become mates. Thornclaw approved of this tom, thinking him responsible enough to take care of Blackfoot. Russetfur moved into her and Thornclaw's territory, which they expanded to make room for him.
Soon, Blackfoot was impregnated. When she told her mate and her brother, the two were overjoyed. Russetfur always brought her things to eat, and when the time had come, she gave birth to two healthy kits: Tawnykit and Nightkit. Soon after this, though, Russetfur was bitten by a rat when out hunting, and a few days later the infected bite killed him. Blackfoot's kits never knew their father, but she always told them what a great cat he was.
Then, after Thornclaw's mate died, she gained his kit: Barkpaw, in an act of charity. He, along with Tawnypaw and Nightpaw, were her world and joy. When Thornclaw died, she mellowed, but still loved her kits. Now, with newly-named Tawnytail and Nightheart off on their own, she has Barkpaw to mentor and hopes he will grow up to be a great warrior.
