Frozenheart blinked and dropped the lizard at her paws. Was this Grimykit's latest victim? He tilted his head, wondering how - if it did in fact belong to her - the tabby had managed to take it from her. He was fast, yes, but you'd have to leave your prey and walk away from it before he could have a chance. For an instant he considered that Grimykit might have fought her for it, but Frozenheart doubted that even more.

This cat seemed like the silent type. Are there no toms that you can hold a conversation with? she wondered. "Who are you?" she asked after she had recovered her breath.

Bronzefoot scowled. "No fight today, then," he muttered. He shot a quick glance at Bluekit and added, "But it's good for you, eh? Your friend is in no danger now." The bronze tom sighed a little; this was getting boring. 'Perhaps I should leave,' he thought.

"Yeah," he said, yawning while not actually paying attention. He hadn't slept since... who knows when. His eyes began to shut.

Frozenheart lowered his eyes in response to Sandfur's question. Why did it matter what his name was? Releveling his gaze with hers, he shook his head. He wasn't going to speak for anyone; no sir - but he did want her to understand. The tom lifted a paw and brushed his ear, for a moment pressing it flat against his head, hoping that if she didn't get the message, at least Bluekit or Bronzefoot might.

Sandfur didn't get it at first. This cat must be deaf, she realized suddenly. Of course. She should have thought of that at first. "Thank you," she mewed, and, picking up her lizard, walked away.
