And by the way, Littlefoot eats Treestar.
---X---
I loved that show when I was a little kid.
I don't have very many spoof names, but here are the ones me and my sister made up. Birdybird, Wiimote, Doublescreen, Redcross, Moondreamstarsongbirdshinemoonstarshinesingingmoonflightwingsue, Wildthing, Yourface, Bellawhine, Meyerpire, Gamecube, Marysue, Garystu, Pokerface, Uglyface
Here is an actual warriors name. I think it is the worst one ever created. Weirdthing. I'm being serious.

"Meyerpire" --x
That one made me laugh. I love it when a name rhymes. Like Sootfoot... or Rosenose.

I've seen a Dragonpaw. Oh sTaRrrzies (lolwhat? the censors gotcha), that killed my soul. Fireman... That sounds like the leader of a tribe of cavemen that have just figured out how to use fire. Jadedawn= Mary-Sue. Chainpaw= Emo. But you know what's really horrible? These crappy names I just saw on a Warriors guild that claimed to be extremely literate. Panthergaze Blazingshadow Flamingwind Whiteflame That made me cry- even the literates don't know proper names! Even worse names in a less literate but still intelligent guild- Fierceblaze Rubypaw Skywing Thunderpaw Moonfrost (Like broadcasting 'I'm a mary-sue!' to all the other roleplayers) Crescentpaw Maskpelt Frostblaze

"Jadedawn= Mary-Sue." -- Just because the name doesn't make sense doesn't mean the character is bad. There is a tendency, though.
"These crappy names I just saw on a Warriors guild that claimed to be extremely literate." -- Literacy does not equal naming sense - or even role play sense, for that matter. It's just post length and basic knowledge of sentence structure.
"Contradictory much?" -- People seem to like oxymorons. I've seen a lot of "Icefire"s.

Just because the name doesn't make sense doesn't mean the character is bad. There is a tendency, though. ---X--- If they consider their character important enough to have a 'jewel' name, it's a Mary-sue 99% of the time. All the jewel-name cats I've seen are sues. ---x--- Literacy does not equal naming sense - or even role play sense, for that matter. It's just post length and basic knowledge of sentence structure. ---X--- I consider literacy to be what you said plus a basic grasp of whatever you happen to be roleplaying. If it's Warriors, a basic grasp of the subject also requires (in my mind) a basic grasp of the naming system in order to be considered literate.

I more agree with Ducky. If you can't name a cat right, it goes to show that you've probably only read the other two series or don't know any better.
