"I'm considering changing the prices, as classics are quite recessive. "
And I was saving up for one! D:

You can haggle with me on the ideas board, if you'd like. You see, I realized that classics are much less common that patched tabbies, so I wanted to differentiate them.

Alrighty, so back to the bio, then. If I were to change Amberkit into a ginger mackerel tabby, would that be considered classic? Messybeast wouldn't load for me, so I only looked at the pictures on the other link. It didn''t classify mackerel and classic as the same thing.

They chose stupid names when they decided to name tabbies. Classics have the big, swirly stripes and are rare. Mackerels are the normal ones. So a ginger mackerel tabby is free.

"Why name a cat after a fish?" -- Because they thought there was something fishy about it?
"Amberkit was named as such by his parents for his pelt, the ginger on it being his parent's favourite colour." -- It's the only color?
"They picked Amber- over Ginger- for they believed Ginger- was far too common a prefix." -- o.e Not so much.
"not being very well-mannered to cats in general, (aside from Sandpaw and Amberkit)" -- So why was he nice to Sandpaw in the first place?

"It's the only color?" Yeah, but it's also their favourite colour.
"o.e Not so much." They believed it was.
"So why was he nice to Sandpaw in the first place?" I don't think this is necessary for the bio, so I'll assume you're asking this out of curiosity. I've not planned out their meeting yet, but right now I'm thinking that Sandpaw manage to break his wall somehow and joined him.

"Yeah, but it's also their favourite colour." -- The sentence is due for some rewording.
"They believed it was." -- ...Why?
"I don't think this is necessary for the bio," -- Yes and no.
"I've not planned out their meeting yet, but right now I'm thinking that Sandpaw manage to break his wall somehow and joined him." -- Why would she want to do that?

"The sentence is due for some rewording." Reworded.
"...Why?" ... Why are you asking? Are the cats not entitled to their own beliefs and opinions? From what they've heard Ginger- is simply more common a prefix than Amber- is.
"Yes and no." Would you care to elaborate?
"Why would she want to do that?" Perhaps she was smitten with him for some reason. I'll think it through properly when you convince me that this relevant and necessary to/for the bio.

"... Why are you asking?" -- I guess it's a pet peeve of mine after experiencing name raters who would rate lower if they had seen a name before (and people who wouldn't use a name if it was "common").
"Would you care to elaborate?" -- It doesn't have much to do with the character, sure, except that I don't see why the parents would have gotten together and made nice in the first place.
"Perhaps she was smitten with him for some reason." -- What reason?
