"Oh yeah?" The tom bared his fangs and kept low to the ground, his tail twitching behind him. Maybe if he just chomped down on that idiot's scrawny neck, the fight would be over and he could simple strut around, proud of his new victory.
He decided to choose that option.
He crept closer. Then Slatefoot reared up on his hind legs. Then he slammed down, hoping that his greater weight had pinned Grimykit to the ground. Then I can finish him off.

"Creeping closer, he reared up on his hind legs." --x Grammar time! This sentence means that the cat was creeping closer and rearing at the same time.

ooc: Gotcha. *fixes*
bic: With a snarl, the large tom swung around to snap at the other cat's throat. "After you feel claws on your little neck, you won't be able to 'high-tail' it out of here," meowed Slatefoot, a threat embedded in his loud mew.
He might've been able to get away that time, but this time, he won't resist the chance of killing me.
The heavy feline changed tactics. He collapsed, pretending to be worn out, and let himself appear to go limp and tired. But his muscles were tense as he waited for the tabby to come toward him.

Grimykit laughed. "Wow, didn't know ya was that muchuva wuss." He glanced back at the spectators and mewed, "Look at 'im, all tuckered out."

By now, Slatefoot would've shredded the other cat's pelt. But he remained still, though it took a lot of effort to do so.
After this, you are so dead, thought the tom, seething under his blue-gray fur. He struggled to stay quiet. Letting out ragged gasps, he pretended that he was so exhausted that he could barely move. The only thing that betrayed his fury were his glaring, cold eyes.

Bronzefoot raised his eyebrows. Why had Slatefoot dropped to the ground all of a sudden? It was an idiotic move-after all, if he thought he couldn't win, he should just run away. And it wasn't likely that he had been suddenly tired when he had just attempted to kill Grimykit. So that meant that it was some kind of trick. "Interesting," he murmured.

Harepaw's ears flicked forward and she swiveled her head to watch. Now that the two cats weren't fighting tooth and claw, she was interested. Although the young female wasn't much of a fighter herself, she was a tactician. If she found herself in a tight spot, moves like this might come in handy. Frowning slightly as she saw Slatefoot flop to the ground, she put her weight on her forepaws, leaning toward him and Grimykit as if to observe better. "Indeed," she murmured after hearing Bronzefoot's comment.

Harepaw and Bronzefoot's reactions confused him. The tall tabby frowned and tilted his head, looked over his shoulder at Slatefoot, then looked back. "Wha? Whatiz it? What'de do? He playin' some sorta trick? Purdy awful one, if it is."

"You tell me. After all, you seem to own this territory. You should know what goes on inside it." Bronzefoot shrugged as if this was perfectly normal, and not as if he were making fun of him. 'Come on, use your head,' he thought, though he didn't actually support Grimykit.

Orangestorm could've slapped his head with a paw at Slatefoot's obvious trick, but he resisted. How'd he think that was going to work? he thought. That kit's stupid, but obviously he's have some common sense.
He was proven wrong when Grimykit turned and boasted to the spectators. It was starting to make him feel annoyed that such a creature shared his species.
Then Grimykit had caught on, if only a little. Orangestorm began thinking about Slatefoot's motives. Surely such an obvious trick, he thought, couldn't have been expected to work. Maybe it's some kind of trick-trick. So obvious that the kit wouldn't believe he would do it - so it had to be real.
Then again, Orangestorm reasoned to himself, and unconsciously voiced his final thought out aloud; "That kit ain't that smart, so that tatic 'as a really low chance of working on 'im."
