"That is correct," Woodstripe mewed, giving Spiderpaw a nod of acknowledgment. "We hear many things from many cats about what it would be like to live under a leader. To my knowledge, however, no one has put leadership to the test. Hence that is what I plan to do. We with gather, nominate cats, vote, and then live under the leadership of the cat chosen by the group. I have made an accord with a certain she-cat that this experiment must include at least ten cats to be valid, so now I am locating volunteers to reach this number." She raised her head, along with her voice, as she looked at all the cats nearby. "Would any of you be interested?"

Bronzefoot's ears twitched. After pondering the matter for a moment, he padded over. "My initial reaction is to say no," he meowed. "Then again, it could be useful to have participated in such an experiment - then I would be able to more accurately describe the problems of Clanhood, yes?" He surveyed the cats who had only recently come. Woodstripe - no surprise there. Spiderpaw was, obviously, part of the experiment as well. A kit he didn't know was lurking there too - was the little one part of this as well? Finally, a tom he faintly recalled from the boneyard - he seemed rather aggressive, but he was indeed part of the group.
"Then again, I suppose you're all Clanners, huh?"

Woodstripe sniffed. "I consider that a derogatory term, but yes, as far as I know - " She cast a glance back at the group. " - all of us desire a Clan. In any case, the experiment will give all the participants a better idea of what real life under a leader is like, rather than relying on estimates and speculation. Will you be joining us?"

Ooc: Where will the experiment actually be? What board?

ooc| Whichever board it calls for. If the group sends out a hunting party, then some will be on the Hunting board. If the group is discussing some issues or forming plans, the Socializing board. It's not restricted to any one place.

Ooc: Ah, okay. I kind of...forgot about this board, so Patchfur will just join in the next one.

"Ah, okay. I kind of...forgot about this board" -- Did Patchfur leave, or is he still here? If he's still here, he should respond to the recent dialogue.

"Interested? In this stupid experiment? Are you out of your mind?" Slatefoot curled his lip at the brown tabby she-cat. "For all I know, I'm not interested at all. And as for the rest of you," he said, flicking his tail contemptuously at the rest of the cats, including the little gray tom, he meowed, "You'll regret agreeing to join this 'Clan'." He spat the word out with disgust.
"This she-cat's gonna' make sure that she becomes leader, I bet. Bossing you around all the time, stuffing herself with prey that you caught, forcing you to do stuff that you don't want to!"

Bronzefoot nodded. "That very well may be true," he meowed. "But, this could be good proof of how a Clan could be bad." Glancing back towards Woodstripe and the rest, he asked, "How long would this experiment last for, anyhow?" Slatefoot could be right, after all, and Bronzefoot wanted to see just what he was getting into.
