It is, but it also happens to be the suffix of their mother's name. He knows how much Stormclaw cared for their mother and didn't put it past him to name himself(Boulderpaw) after her, especially since he thought his father believed he wasn't very skilled at anything.
By the way, this bio will be on hold until we resolve the issues we're discussing on his brother's, since they pertain to him too.
