The Paint House has always been an object of fascination for me. I've seen it out the car window for years -- an old, dilapidated gray house on the side of the road, with "PAINT!" written in white paint on its outside wall. Other than that, the exterior of the house is paintless.
Just recently, my Mom told me how this came to be: the city threatened to sue the owner of the house if he didn't put paint on his house. Their wording was specifically that. Put paint on the house. So he put "PAINT!" on the house. And when it went to court, the guy won.
Who says being literal and being awesome are mutually exclusive?
