"Ah, thanks for telling me. I'm quite grateful for that information, I owe you a favor." That might seem a bit much for someone who'd only confirmed the identities of spies, but to Pebbletail knowing this was invaluable. Now it would be easier for her to form a plan and present it to Beetlepaw...
Excellent; Frailheart was apparently thinking along the same lines. Good, the she-cat clearly had a mind for action, much like herself.
"That's a fine idea, Frailheart. But while we're here, why don't we try and think up a few things ourselves? I'm not trying to be exclusive, but it'd be a lot of work finding the others. If we come to them with something solid, they'll have to listen."

Frailheart considered this. "Hmmm. That's a pretty good idea. You know, now that I realize it, we actually did make a plan the second time we grouped up. We met here and made a plan for revenge on some she-cat named Speckledclaw, seeing as she had mangled Grimykit's right eye. We never enacted the plan, though. It was too bad. I'm itching for some action here. But what we really need is to shatter the idea of a clan that would cater to everyone's needs, replacing that with the true picture of a Clan being what it really is: a confused jumble of batbrains who couldn't handle a wink of trouble, along with a boss who is just as incompetent as the rest of them. "But how?"

The gray con smiled, and it was a disturbing sight. For it was not a smile of only joy, it was also a smile of malice and anticipation of others' pain. But it quickly turned to a brooding look. Indeed, how? She thought. And thought. And thought some more. And finally came up with at least the bare bones of an idea.
"We can contact the spies. We can follow them and that wretched Experiment, alert for an opportunity. Which could be anything - but it would need to consist of a small group of Experiment cats - preferably important ones - drawn away from the group by Bronzefoot or the other tom, and then together with our ally, we will...make an example of them."
Pebbletail's eyes seemed to gleam with malice.

Frailheart pondered Pebbletail's suggestion. "Hmm. That could work, but it might paint cons as evil. To stamp out Clanhood entirely, we have to make sure that everyone - especially any little kits hanging around - knows that the Clanners are wrong. If we attack them with what appears to be no reason but bloodthirstiness, then we'll be the bad guys and the Clanners might be seen as 'in the right'. However, the Experiment would certainly fall apart if the main leaders could be taken care of. Let's see. Woodstripe said that Spiderstripe and Redstream had been elected to the positions of leader and deputy. But Woodstripe herself would have to be taken care of too, you know. She's the boss behind this whole thing, even if she's not an official leader."

Reluctantly, the gray con realized her companion was right. Violence should be their last resort. Even if it was fun and they were in the right.
"Perhaps we could bait them into attacking us? I know that some of the members are unhinged - especially that little black and white tom, I've seen him around. He's called Short-something. But yes, you have a point. What if we brought a debate group to them? If we talk for long enough, we should convince a few and unsettle the rest. It might work."

"Yeah, that could definitely work. We start a debate and have our spies help to rile Short-whatever up. When he attacks, we fight back, maybe some of the other Clanners get into the fight..? We don't want it to go too far, though. Most of 'em Clanners are peace-loving, so most of 'em probably wouldn't go for the kill. If we do, we'd look bad. Unless they do first... But I do hope that doesn't happen." Frailheart couldn't help but shudder a little bit. She didn't like the idea of a bloodbath, especially because she couldn't fight well herself. "We just need to unsettle them, convince the latest crop of kits that Clanners are batbrains, and that'll be that." She paused for a moment, then added, "I talk about them kits because the kits are the future of this Enclosure, you know."

The gray con nodded, thinking hard. Indeed. Frailheart was clearly intelligent. It stunk that they couldn't go for blood, but one day. One day she would tear the skin of Clanners and hear their cries. And it would be the sweetest sound she would ever hear.
"Indeed...our spies, too, could perhaps help us get him kicked out of the Experiment." she said in a gleeful voice. "That would be a blow. And yes, unfortunately they are, those lizardbrained pieces of filth. And true, about the kits...well, if we knew where to find them." She added sourly, but then an idea occurred to her. "If they're still young, perhaps they and their mother are by the stream. We must hope they are not corrupted already."

Frailheart mused over this. "Clans are supposed to be welcoming and all that dirt. If the Clanners kick the hothead out of their group after he starts a fight.... He might make another scene, hmm? And yes - if we were going to look for kits, the stream would be the first place to check. But we must proceed carefully - we've gotta inform our spies of the plan. Oh, and we should talk it over with the rest of the Rebellion. They should all be in on this. And plus, any flaws in our plan could be taken care of before we actually started anything. "

The gray con nodded reluctantly. In a way, she wished she could still operate by herself and not have to go through all this wishy-washy muck just to rip some fur, but she knew it was necessary: Beetlepaw would never forgive her if she blew their cover this early.
She mulled it over, trying to figure out the most effective means of doing things. Two spies, two of them, but then they also had to find the kits...if only they had another member at paw...oh well. It would be a start.
"I suppose...we should split up, we'll get more done that way. How's this for a plan: You go find some more cats of the Rebellion, and then attempt to locate the spies, and I'll be waiting for you at the stream, keeping any Clanners away. How would that be?"

ooc| I am berating myself for not being able to post here for the past 20 days. Ugh.

Frailheart nodded. "Yes, that seems efficient enough. I only hope that this plan doesn't take very long to enact. The Experiment lasts for 10 days, I think, and the longer it lasts the more cats are attracted to it." She paused, trying to think of anything else to say. "Well.. goodbye for now. And good luck."
As Frailheart departed, it occurred to her that even in this wasteland, she had made something resembling a friend.
