Would crickets/other insects be able to be scented easily? I really don't know, because they're so small @_@

When my sister used to buy crickets for her pet gecko, the crickets always had a strange smell to them. I'm not sure how far that scent would travel over a distance but if people can smell them then cats must be able to as well.
