Redstream was feeling as though she were being eaten up by boredom. The orangey she-cat had been prowling nearby the walls, looking at the outside world through the cracks, letting her mind wander. But that had been nearly an hour ago.
Now she was feeling like a conversation with other cats, and just her luck, she spotted two, one white and one yellow. Redstream straightened, tilted her head up a little, put on what she hoped was a welcoming smile, and trotted carefully over to the two.
"Hallo," she said, smiling brightly, as she reached the two cats.

With the damsel in distress returned to an upright position, Frozenheart stepped back, still concerned, and examined Frailheart for damage. It entered his mind that this was the sort of scenario Woodstripe would use to make her case for a Clan. Did this pale she-cat want a Clan, too? It would make sense. Lacking strength as she did, it seemed as though she would want a group to protect her. Maybe she expected cats to rescue her. He narrowed his eyes, beginning to doubt that she was grateful.
Frozenheart saw Redstream out of the corner of his eye and dipped his head in silent greeting. Blue gaze returning to Frailheart, he continued his mistaken train of thought that she would begin advocating Clanhood to him at any moment.

Frailheart meowed, "Thank you," once again. After that she turned to Redstream and meowed, "Hello." She started frowning when she noticed the white tom narrow his eyes. He seemed suspicious of something - but what? She tilted her head to the side. "What is it?" she asked him.

Noting her confused question, Frozenheart sat down and told himself not to make ultracrepidarian judgments. For all he knew, the new arrival could be the one to worry about - and with all her glittery gracefulness, the orange tabby did seem the type. He gave Frailheart a slight "nevermind" shake of the head and looked at Redstream. She must have a reason for approaching two complete strangers. Frozenheart sent her a questioning look.

Frailheart shrugged and sat down, beginning to groom herself. "What are your names?" she meowed. "I'm Frailheart." 'I'll make an excuse to get away soon,' she told herself. 'Maybe a little more socializing would be okay. After all, these two don't seem to be at all like that foul-mouthed Grimykit.'

Frailheart? She must be joking. It sounded like such a cruel name, even though she was less muscular than most. Yet she shared his suffix. Frozenheart wondered if she was compassionate in earnest or just in comparison with her uncaring parents. Still, that couldn't be her real name. He stared at her with doubt in his eyes.

Frailheart tilted her head to the side, looking curiously at the tom. 'I wonder why he just doesn't say anything,' she thought. She glanced at Redstream, seeing if she, too would ignore her question.

"I am Redstream," replied the orange she-cat in a sugary tone. Deciding that it was safe to make herself comfortable, Redstream, as gracefully as possible, sat herself down and curled her long tail around herself. "Frailheart is a nice name." She turned expectantly to the white tom, green eyes fixed on his blue ones.

Seeing as Frailheart offered no explanation for her oddity of a name, the white tom turned his eyes on Redstream. Hers was a good name; it made sense. In fact, it made more sense than she did. How could she say that Frailheart was a nice name? It sounded like a disease.
He shot her a confused look, head tilted.

Redstream read the tom's expression and made no hesitation to clarify, "What is your name?"
While awaiting his response, she realised that she hadn't cleaned up before joining into the conversation and began licking her paw in a delicate manner (Or so she hoped, for the she-cat was self-cautious about everything she did). Redstream was more or less clean, except for her paws, which were covered with dust and dirt. Nonetheless, Redstream saw this as a wrong which she was to right.
