ooc| Woodstripe recruited Darkfur and Nightbreeze and led them here from the 'An Eye To Listen' thread. I had decided not to have any of my cats participate in the hunt, since I'll be gone in a week, so I had Spiderstripe make an excuse and leave. However, I neglected to remember that Nightbreeze was also one of my cats. Now I'm trying to figure out what to do with him.

Nightbreeze wanted to say yes, he really did. He wanted to say 'Yes!' in a firm and strong voice that would make a good first impression. But he was aware of the dryness of his throat, and how hot he was. He didn't want to seem scared of the hunt, but he needed water. So he meowed to Woodstripe, "Pardon me, but I'm really thirsty; I'm not sure how effective in the hunt I'll be. Is it alright if I go to find some water. Perhaps I could participate in the next hunt." He hoped he didn't sound as pathetic as he felt.

Feeling charitable toward the tom after witnessing his enthusiasm, Woodstripe nodded, meowing, "Of course, of course! Mind your thirst first." It wasn't really her place to give or deny permission for anything, but she overlooked that fact. Besides, how could Patchfur disagree with her ruling? ooc| Hunt thread here.
