August 11th, 2011 -- Friday is coming up fast, so to ensure that Starless will still have an active staff scribe on hand, Reagan has been promoted to moderator! It's official: our resident robot has taken over the site. But the Help Wanted sign isn't coming down just yet. If you're interested in a staff position, you can still apply by posting here.

August 8th, 2011 -- Happy birthday, Starless! Today marks our third anniversary. Can you believe it? Three whole years. That's an impressive accomplishment for a role play forum, in particular with Warriors losing some of its popularity (good riddance?). There are many sites that die within months, for no apparent reason but member apathy, and though that's a sad sight to see, it only makes your admin more grateful to all you scribes who keep the site going. Starless is still here because of you.

August 5th, 2011 -- Yes, we do still need scribes to apply to be mods, and here's why. Being a mod might sound like a big responsibility, but it's not a lot of work, really. Don't let being new or inexperienced stop you -- the application thread is open to everyone (except guests and characters, but why would they be applying anyway? That's silly).

July 28th, 2011 [2] -- Congratulations, Reagan! Spangledfur, a decadent calico creation, has just been accepted. Not to beat you over the head with it whack whack but make sure to read that bio before interacting with this character. Otherwise you may suffer a case of pronoun confusion.

July 28th, 2011 -- Congratulations, Juli! Her first character at Starless, Duststripe, has just been accepted and is ready to role play. This puts our cat stats at 25 Clanners vs. 20 cons, and 24 males vs. 26 females.

July 25th, 2011 -- Oh, you thought the slew of daily updates was over? .........It is. For now.

July 24th, 2011 -- Due to inactivity, Gosh is no longer a moderator here at Starless, although she is welcome to return if she has the time. However, as you might suspect, that leaves a vacancy. We need a new staff member. Who among you will answer the call? Do you have what it takes? Will you join the Fellowship of the Ring the Starless Staff? Will Ten ever quit being melodramatic?

July 23rd, 2011 -- As you can see, our sisterhood with FoF has finally been made official. Our button will be up on their site too, as soon as they find a place for it. In other news, we have a new ooc board! Contests have been revived, at the suggestion of Rebecca, and now they have their own special part of the site. Already there's a new contest up and awaiting entries. Check it out.

July 22nd, 2011 -- The rash of consecutive updates continues. Today's update: Starless is now offering opportunities for advancement. That's right; Ten would like to have a few backup staff scribes on hand for when the autumn months roll around. A more detailed announcement, in regards to how to get the job and what it will consist of, will come in the future. Until then, stay tuned and stay active.

July 21st, 2011 -- Just a few things to turn your attention to. If you're a new scribe (or even an old scribe) please drop by this thread and share a few thoughts. As for in-character news: there's been a dramatic development as the fate of the Rebellion becomes uncertain, and Woodstripe is still awaiting an answer. Also, Ten issued a challenge, Draco made a promise, and as a result we're expecting a new character, one of the very vain variety.

July 20th, 2011 -- The adoption thread is now all sold out, with both of Hailpaw's daughters finding new homes before their first meeting with the local preacher. Blotchkit, previously owned by Modd, has been adopted by Reagan. Locustkit, previously owned by Thistle, has been adopted by Fixate.

July 19th, 2011 -- Due to the deleting of a few inactive scribes and their cats, the prefixes Pale, Dust, and Sleet have now become available.

July 18th, 2011 -- Congratulations, Fixate! Her first cat at Starless, Lichenfur, has just been accepted. She and any others who aren't yet involved should hurry over to the wall and find out what Woodstripe is up to this time.

July 14th, 2011 -- Reagan is on a roll! This latest tomcat is making it his mission to bring religion back to the enclosure. Now don't get any silly ideas about breaking the name rules, folks. Do, however, start thinking about how your characters would react to their first encounter with the concept of spirituality, taking into consideration that they don't have any knowledge of religious institutions the way we do.

July 11th, 2011 -- Congratulations, Reagan! This lovely robot's first cat, Tawnystripe, has just been accepted into the Starless crew, bringing us up to 19 cons and 23 toms. In other news, for those of you biding your time because you don't want to be the first to post: Darky was so gracious as to cross that river for you, with a full post of Orangestorm being Orangestorm. Now it's your turn.

July 6th, 2011 -- Hope everyone in the States had a great Fourth of July. Now Starless, too, has a revolution in the works. Please get all your characters, cons and Clanners alike, over to the Social Hub to see what Woodstripe is getting up to. Will this blow over as nothing more than her usual windbag oration, or will this throw more fuel on the fire?

June 29th, 2011 -- Congratulations, Nefeli! Auburnbreeze, her first character at Starless, has just been accepted, and she may now begin role playing with her. The current character balance is at 27 Clanners vs. 18 cons and 22 toms vs. 27 she-cats. A quick note about the upcoming subplot: as we accumulate more active characters, it's time to think about how many will be enough to launch the speech, taking into consideration that it may be preferable to have more separate role players (though using all characters available to you is encouraged).

June 13th, 2011 [Part 2] -- Congratulations, Irae! Greywhisker, her first character at Starless, has just been accepted. Even though Modd's characters (which include Greykit, another use of that prefix) and their fate is still pending, Irae can go ahead and get into the role play while we sort these matters out (see the thread in Mews).

June 13th, 2011 -- Congratulations, Image! Harestep, her first character at Starless, has just been accepted. She'll make a worthy rival for Woodstripe and the other bosses. The current character balance is at 26 Clanners vs. 16 cons and 22 toms vs. 25 she-cats. Also, for older scribes: in regards to the upcoming mini-plot, please take a look at this thread and let your voice be heard in deciding Beetlepaw's fate.
